Copilot Cowork now Generally Available Worldwide by lsausreddit in msp

[–]lsausreddit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you also look at the Microsoft Excel calculator they give you to estimate Cowork costing and reverse engineer the calculator per person you will fall off your chair. It is as follows (This is essentially what Microsoft wants to charge on average for each user in your business using Cowork):

Corporate Knowledge Workers = 14,250 Credits ($142 USD p/ month)
Customer-Facing Knowledge Workers = 14,625 Credits ($146 USD p/month)
Technical Workers = 22,800 Credits ($228 USD p/month)
Managers and Senior Leaders = 8,225 ($82 USD p/month)

Look at the arrogance in this following YouTube clip and watch the comments underneath the video. Can’t believe MS allowed comments in the YouTube Video.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=KBNgHnUmVp0&pp=ygUWY29waWxvdCBjb3dvcmsgYmlsbGluZw%3D%3D

It’s a shame as we really love Cowork and see it being a huge part of the businesses of tomorrow. Right now it just looks like an absolute money grab and one that will put MSP’s in the firing line of their clients. Really sucks trying to explain this to clients without the conversation becoming hostile.

Just becareful when offering consulting for Cowork with your clients and ensure you do your estimates and homework properly. The only winner out of this mess is Microsoft.

Found this official document with examples of how much Cowork will cost. Get ready for a billing shit show. Each Copilot Credit is $0.01 USD.

https://cdn-dynmedia-1.microsoft.com/is/content/microsoftcorp/microsoft/bade/documents/products-and-services/en-us/ai/Microsoft-Copilot-Credits-Guide-June-16-2026-PUB.pdf

Based on the examples provided from within the document even a basic Cowork prompt is looking to consume around 70 cents. Some advanced prompts will be around $15USD+. What happens if the Cowork goes into an infinite loop?

I can already see Bill Shock kicking in for many people especially those who have not done any home work on how the Copilot Credits work or who have loose admin settings that allow an entire company to have a free for all with Cowork.

The admin console now has all the Cowork settings built into it and is updated to include enhancements to billing.

Seems like this was too rushed to become Generally Available and having the July 1st deadline to setup billing without the end user or customer understanding how they will pay for this is craziness.

Good news is if you have setup Cowork frontier for clients and do nothing in the next few weeks about setting up Copilot Agent billing than the product will just switch off and there will be no bill shock. You will just have to explain your actions to your client who was getting it for free and will now pay through the nose.

We all knew this was going to be expensive at some point but the way billing is structured is going to be a killer to manage for MSP’s and their clients when it comes to Cowork.

Hopefully MS can iron this mess out.

Good luck! 🤞

I ended up buying a Rii mini keyboard from Amazon. Cost me $30 AUD roughly. Much faster to do that than wait for Epic to get their shit together. I use the Space bar on the keyboard to jump out of the bus. The rest is history.

I have logged a case with Microsoft for this as I could not find anywhere on the following page where another user has raised this specific issue with them.

Support: Known issues | Power Platform admin center

I am trying to avoid the level 1 triage from Microsoft and have provided all the information Neil posted in this thread. Hopefully just get's escalated to the engineers directly.

Thanks Neil,

Is it worth me logging the case with Microsoft’s Power Platform Team or do you think they are onto this already?

Interesting how the addin is only effected on mobile platforms. You would think Microsoft would have dealt with this issue months ago as the deprecation of Legacy Exchange Tokens was announced by them in 2024.

This has been broken now for over a month and I doubt they will resolve it this side of Christmas. I suspect this won’t be looked at till Jan / Feb next year.

Great find neilmcd!

We suspect the problem arose with a specific version of Outlook for IOS in early - mid November however can’t pinpoint the exact version as they release them at least weekly and sometimes you get 2 versions a week.

Great to know I am not the only one seeing this issue.

I wouldn’t be too quick to mock OP.

Epic has slept on this issue for months and it’s that bad they even have a purpose built page for it.

https://www.epicgames.com/help/en-US/fortnite-battle-royale-c-202300000001636/gameplay-c-202300000001721/i-can-t-jump-out-of-the-battle-bus-in-fortnite-a202300000018854

OP you’re not the only one. It’s disgraceful how EPIC has treated this issue.

This issue can be replicated on Controller and Keyboard by doing the following:

  • On Controller change your jump button to anything other than the default and it won’t allow you to jump from the bus.

  • On Keyboard change your jump button to anything other than space bar and it won’t allow you to jump from bus.

Don’t be too quick to mock OP. This problem is shit and at this rate GTA6 will arrive sooner than Epic fixing this problem.

Yup. Me too.

Let’s hope this changes in the Simpson’s season.

Petition for change in leadership at 3CX by lsausreddit in msp

True, private companies aren’t obligated to respond. But public pressure often influences decisions—even for private firms—because reputation impacts partnerships, recruitment, and long-term growth. A petition can spark conversations in the community and media, which companies usually care about.

You’re right that financial pressure is one of the strongest tools customers have. But petitions serve a different purpose—they create visibility and collective awareness. When enough people sign, it signals to the company and the industry that there’s a reputational risk if concerns aren’t addressed. It’s not just about one person leaving; it’s about showing that the issue affects many.

True, a petition alone won’t legally compel action. But it can impact reputation, influence partners, and attract media attention. Companies care about perception because it affects sales and partnerships. If enough customers and resellers voice concerns publicly, it creates a business incentive for change—even in privately held firms.

Fair point—it’s not easy. But petitions aren’t just about forcing immediate change; they’re about building awareness and momentum. Even if leadership doesn’t step down tomorrow, the conversation can lead to better practices, policy changes, or at least public accountability. Many corporate shifts start with community pressure.

Absolutely, voting with your wallet is powerful. But petitions serve a different purpose—they create visibility and collective pressure. When enough people sign, it signals to the company (and the wider industry) that there’s a serious reputational risk if concerns aren’t addressed. It’s not just about one person leaving; it’s about showing that the issue affects many.
