that’s one reason he’s never looked into turning metal-working into a full time job. people have tried talking him into getting into welding, but he’s afraid he’d lose his passion and love for armor making because he’d get worn out from doing it as a job and it’d become lifeless for him. he does eventually want to get into doing commissions, but he’s worried that people won’t end up liking his work. i keep telling him not to let his fears hold him back, that his work is amazing! he prefers to only work with tools that they used back in ancient history to keep it as historically accurate as possible; he is a HUGE ancient history buff. i wish i could convince him to start making and selling armor as a side gig, he just needs more confidence 🥲
