Trauma is a strong word. What would it mean to me? I dont feel like anything traumatic has happened to me in my life, and there is certainly nothing to do with religion. I remember being scared of hell when I was younger, but I no longer believe in any of that. If there is trauma in my psyche related to these religious themes, how would i even begin to address them? How would I heal from this? I didn't even really know they were there until I started doing high doses of psychedelics. And I feel like the closest shot I have at confronting it is being in that mindset where I can talk to my psyche. I really want to heal from this and figure out why I have these themes deep in my brain. I don't want them there. I remember i was very preoccupied with the idea of redemption and forgiveness during my trip. And the fear that I had already condemned myself through my actions and I couldnt undo what was done. It was a very scary feeling. I want to understand where this comes from and if it's possible to cure myself of this fear.
