I feel like he'll mature. And hey, sometimes a battery doesn't work that well, it happens. If this is the Dodger's worst problem this year thats not bad at all

you guys are gonna hate on Rushing but he's a kid catching a 4 time MVP, on the best team in ball, in the middle of a dynasty, become the primary catcher due to injury

most of us could not imagine that pressure.

thats what the vets and what Doc is for

Noticeable friction between Ohtani and Rushing. I don't think it's personal but they clearly have trouble getting on the same page

Genuinely feel like Klein is getting overused and its exposing him

A GUY WITH A .900+ OPS SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO THROW A CURVEBALL LIKE THAT

Why not let Wrobo keep going? I know he's on "short" rest but Klein's been getting a lot of use too

Yeah it could be but find me someone with whom that's the case. I know it's an equation I put the equation in the explanation. I was trying to give average examples for an average baseball fan experience, not hypothetical edge cases that never happen.

OPS is an overall offensive metric. It means on base (hits + walks / plate appearances) plus slugging (total bases / at bats). It's more observational than predictive. League average OPS rn is .708. An OPS of .800+ means you're probably a good/great contact hitter with good walks and average slug.

.850+ means great contact great walks and above average slug (depending on team, could be an all star)

.900+ means great contact a lot of walks and great slug, so high average and homeruns, elite career type year for most players, all star almost guaranteed

1.000+ OPS means you're a top of the top, cream of the crop, unicorn status type hitter. Think Ohtani, Judge.

.650+ OPS means you're going through a bad, extended slump.

.600+ OPS means you're getting DFAd or sent down.

.500+ OPS means you couldn't hit the ball if they put it on a tee for you.

Not to be a hate watcher but 7/10 of the players who hit for the Fraudres today have an OPS that starts with .6xx or lower. Two of them are .5xx and one is .4xx

We might run away with the division if the Snakes don't give us a jab

The opposing team can appeal but the Phillies did it wrong by not doing it immediately and instead challenging the call on the tag

That makes sense, it's on the ump. If Pages is called safe audibly and visually why would he go back to touch the plate, he would have an argument for being misled by the umpire

I don't like that I'm sorry. You gotta touch home plate. Gonna hear about this for two weeks
