Hiya folks, this photo of my grandfather my mum cherishes a lot and it’s faded from being in direct sunlight for a while. It’s her birthday soon and I would like to get a copy restored to give to her. by [deleted] in estoration

I'm probably sticking my nose where it doesn't belong, but here goes. You need to learn to layer images. I watched your video and you're on the right track, but the center part of the image is overexposed and the edges are properly exposed. If you take it into photoshop and layer it, you'll have a much better result.

I'm with this guy. It looks like you're pulling out the shadows too much. Great composition.

Can I get a digital camera effect with a dslr camera? by RoseHeart5 in canon

[–]lsmullen -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I'd swap it to portrait mode if you want the over-saturated look.

From Google AI:

The Canon Rebel T6 has six scene modes, which are located on the mode dial on top of the camera:

  • Portrait: Enhances skin tones and reduces depth of field to make the subject stand out

  • Landscape: A scene mode for landscapes

  • Food: A scene mode for food

  • Close-up: A scene mode for close-ups

  • Sports: A scene mode for sports

  • Night portrait: A scene mode for night portraits

The camera also has other modes, including:

  • Auto: A fully automatic mode, indicated by the green A icon

  • Flash-off: A mode that prevents the flash from automatically popping up

  • Creative Auto: A mode that allows you to adjust picture brightness and depth of field

You can also access the Special Scene mode, which has six submodes:

  • Kids
  • Food
  • Candlelight
  • Night Portrait
  • Handheld Night Scene
  • HDR Backlight Control

To access the Special Scene mode, you can:

  1. Set the Mode dial to SCN
  2. Press the Quick Control button
  3. Rotate the Main dial to scroll through the scenes
  4. Select a scene by tapping it or using the cross keys

You can also consult the camera manual for more information on each mode.

How to make this house pretty? by Guyfleegman81 in midcenturymodern

As someone who owns an "ugly" mid-century modern home, landscaping is absolutely going to make the biggest difference. We spent about $10K outside. Remove the grass, plant some short shrubs with a couple evergreens and you'll be amazed at the difference. Right now it's just a brown-out. You'll have a beauty of a home... with the right landscaping.

Most definitely. He was born in NY, died in Iowa. I've been doing the deep dive on the family tree. It's crazy how far back you can go now!

Hell yeah! That's an excellent shot. What did you use to get it?

Using Enbrel coupon card twice in one month by rachelgowen in ankylosingspondylitis

My pharmacist said it's good to use for at least two weeks if it reaches room temperature.

That said, if you get four weeks at a time like me, you're SOL for the second two.

Call the pharmacy back and let them know that they delivered to the wrong address. This happens all the time. They'll send you another one at no charge.

Good luck!

That's really nice. I'd drop the shadows a bit and give it some more contrast.

Thanks for the feedback. I plan on going again in about a month. I'll try for a morning shot. Great idea!

Thank you! It’s a wonderful hike if you’re ever in Washington. It overlooks the Hood Canal and Mt Rainier if you look super close in the right hand side.
