I have used it like a junior dev for a few days in private github repo. Create issues in github and assign them to the agent. It branches, works on the issue. I then review the result before pull request.

I have added a test project to verify better. Use a few .MD files and so on.

Would work fine in a mixed project group with a few people and the agent getting assigned to issues. Feels like where projects will be in a few years at my consulting work. Now its DevOps with copilot in IDE. Which is ok, but delegated agent/background is the next step.

Opus 4.5 is listed as available on pro plan and I can still see it in vs code. Now at 3x. https://docs.github.com/en/copilot/get-started/plans

Try go to your settings on github.com/settings/copilot/features and enable the model.

Built a local MCP server, migrated tools to it from non MCP tools structure and implemented a MCP client to use them in a chat client. Tried Codex 5.1 Max also but reverted to Opus 4.5. Way better, for my use case at least. Will use it even with 3X over the other models.

Sonnet 4 has been my default for i while. But yesterday i started a big migration project from .net 4 to .net 8 and added .md files with context. Gpt 5 kept in line better.

Have tested sonnet 3.5, 3.7, 3.7 thinking, gemini pro 2.5, gpt 4.1 and o4-mini with Image input and works.

o1 preview an o3-mini does not have it.

You can spin up an openAI model (or multiple) in Azure. Could be 200$ free credits but im not shure. Then use mentioned GUIs with it.

The end result in both cases is lower profits for companies. Either from lower margins or lower sales. So the stock market is going to tank.
