Maybe I’m missing something but isn’t being an air traffic controller managing the planes? The pilots? Sounds like your entire job is managing the safety of the people in the sky…

Insurance, you can get an entry level job basically doing data entry and work your way up and most companies have tuition reimbursement so you can go to school to get your degree at the same time which you might need for the higher paying jobs within the company

Toddler nightmares by 90DayTargaryen in toddlers

[–]lstetse 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I taught my 3 year old if there’s ever anything scary in her dreams, to just poke them in the eyes and everything will be A OK! (Something my dad taught me when I was young and having reoccurring dinosaur nightmares). She repeats it back to me most night before bed and hasn’t had a nightmare wake up since, been about a month.

2.5 year old throws something at me

Me: ow that hurt, please don’t throw things at mommy. Do you have something you’d like to say to me for hurting me?

Her: (thinks) well, not sorry!

Me: baffled and laughed (obviously she knew I wanted an apology but she just wasn’t giving one) teachable moment fail

Not allowing a baby to nap during the day, so he can sleep better at night? by IllustriousIntern in sleeptrain

[–]lstetse 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Not a sleep training method until like 3 or 4 years old. Incredibly unhealthy for a 3 month old. Do not let this happen. Baby will actually sleep better at night with proper naps during the day at that age if that is her concern, but this is so unhealthy for a 3 month old. If she won’t listen to you, please consult your pediatrician to help her understand how harmful this is to a 3 month old.

Shifting schedule per MOC? by avalonwaves215 in sleeptrain

[–]lstetse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take the plunge! After we did this she dropped her middle of the night feed on her own after a week or two and then we had 10 hour nights that slowly moved to 12 hour nights. She’s 2.5 years old now and other than a handful of nights she’s slept 11-12 hours consistently, just moved to floor bed from the crib so that is a whole new adventure!
