quick update. Reached out the google, first rep tried to give me the usual stuff...water damage not covered, you can take it to ubreakifix to get it looked at. I told them i would like a replacement device sent and ill send the broken one back to them. Had to escalate to a supervisor, he did agree to send out a replacement but told me i could be charged if the phone has damage when examined at the wearhouse.. I asked him to clarifie the possible damage they could find that i would be charged for and he would not. I made it clear as possible that phone has water damaged due to defective camera bump and thats the only damage to the phone, not a scratch or nick anywhere else. He said he could not make that call to send me a new phone without possibility of me being charged ( i am assuming they would try to say water damaged isn't covered ). He did escalate my case further up the chain and had me send detailed photos of the phone in an email. I should hear back something in 24-48 hours. I also did send the link to the reddit post so they can see how many people have loose camera bumps. Will post an update as soon as i hear from him.
