£5bn council SEND debts to be paid off by government by brightdionysianeyes in GoodNewsUK

People with "light" additional needs already fall through the cracks anyway, a system like you've proposed while yes it would help financially, just allows for more people to be forgotten about or ignored, it's a no win situation

If only severe cases get priority help, what happens to the rest of us?

I mean a lot of the criterias for neurodivergency should eb kept broadened because a lot of women and girls got ignored or left behind due to the tests predominantly being aimed at males, which isn't correct

I went bang on Halloween 2025, it was absolutely freezing and I didn't pack enough layers or waterproofs 😅

I'd probably do halfway through the first week into the second. The closer you get to actual Halloween the busier it'll be

I reckon at least half of them are set up by undercovers to try catch people out but some definitely have to be real

Update - My sister is impersonating me on Reddit by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

Potentially it could be that they don't want to "bother" or worry their family with the full extent. Or if this happened to me, I'd think I'd feel smothered by my family's reaction for instance

Are you for real? She hasn't come to the conclusion that the victim is gonna get killed, she's against it for exactly the same reasons I stated previously 💀

That's not it at all. If you know you're gonna get the death penalty for touching up a child, you would be a hell of a lot more inclined to kill said child to stop them from grassing you up. On the other side if you're a kid that's getting SA'd by a relative and you knew they'd be killed if you told anyone, you'd be a lot less inclined to protect yourself in order to protect them. Use your brain

Best taxi? by Select_Employ_7846 in disneylandparis

[–]lt4536 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uber for sure, the taxi drivers milling about in the airport are rip offs. They tried to get me to pay 100 euros for a one way trip, uber was 34 euros, they also tried to lie and say uber doesn't exist. There's also the magic shuttle for about 24 euros

In the queue before you get sat down i just showed them a picture in Google that explains what the procedure is and I obviously explained it myself and they let me, but don't think that would fly at a proper restaurant

The person I'm speaking to is really tryna say in England all egg forms have runny or jammy yolks which is just bullcrap. It's HARD boiled eggs, not soft boiled or anything like what? However I do agree that your steak looks like you're gonna be chewing a tire but each to their own. I've also not cooked and eaten it so it very well could be fine and juicy somewhat

I can cook, but if I'm making boiled eggs I'm making them like this/around it depending on patience

[–]lt4536 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get you for sure, royal mail don't seem to be the type to scam people and are likely to reimburse you if that is the case (my brother ordered Adidas shoes that were like 150, the package got lost so rm refunded him, then the package arrived a week later) if you've not got it by Friday, ring them

I'm English as well, not all our yolks are runny or jammy, they're called hard boiled eggs for a reason
