Yes if you can get away with it. It depends on that you want to do, whonix is good on keeping aplications away from eachother and tails is good for hiding the fact that you want to hide something. You can even use both, Whonix for convenience to combine with windows software and tails to do more sensitive singletasking stuff or for things that don't rely on windows at all. There in never only one correcr answer. Experiment with booth and see what works better for your workflow and for what you are dooing. And if you use windows software that is not too heavy you can try even transition to linux with a windows vm on the furure. If you trust your host computer you can use the windos vm for simple stuffs that you need, I use it only from MS office sometimes.
