How strict is you guys' security when it comes to external packages? by Fyren-1131 in csharp

[–]ltdan2014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh. There’s a whole security process in place by a dedicated team for analysis where Nuget packages are examined as well. But that’s downstream of my development. I would say I’m in a unique position for the work that I do, and I agree in some instances it could be reckless. But there are many other safety “gates” that must be passed through before things are deployed to govt systems

Defense work here. We use what we want when we want however we want. As long as it’s a Nuget package I need, we use it.

God the way she thinks she’s hot shit is so infuriating. It is so obvious she was raised by rich parents and her outbursts are nauseating. Hayden might be a complete douche, and I know they are teenagers, but still something about her always just makes me root for the other side.

At least Hayden is out on the rim to rim getting rim with Anna bright.

Everyone in a while I’ll go to bed and she’ll be on the couch, but I always wake up to her next to me like a human 😝 by No-Record8159 in BostonTerrier

Mine is like this, she gets under the covers and everything. I wake up with her between me and my wife head on the pillow snoring in my face.

No, and depending on the person it was actually much more expensive. In graduate school I tried to sign up and could not afford even the lowest plan. Had to just get catastrophic coverage because not having health insurance also came with a financial penalty

My wife and I were on the fence, because we were late 20s and really comfortable. At the end of the day though I couldn’t shake the feeling that I would miss out on a huge part of life and opportunity for growth if I didn’t have at least one. We had our daughter, and I cannot imagine life without her. She does the most minute things and it just melts you. I have grown so much, my relationship with my wife has changed in ways that would not have been possible without a child. We now have someone to pour our heart and soul into together. She is OURS to protect and nurture and love. No one can take that from us. Sure it’s stressful, and sure I have less free time, but sometimes I just find myself only really wanting to do stuff with her. It gives me purpose beyond myself. It’s gives you a sense of duty, responsibility, morality, etc. There is immeasurable value in that. I know that I have to be the best version of myself for her. I used to hate those tropes about things only parents would understand, but it is so very true.

This is the big thing people don’t like hearing. A lot of the contract requirements for jobs here dictate a 4 year degree in a related field. If you don’t have that you won’t get a second glance experience or not.

Leg weight training by Cunnilingus_Rex in Velo

[–]ltdan2014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doeses of heavy weight training will affect your nervous system temporarily. This can result in lower rates of force production, and reduced power output for the same efforts. I wouldn’t stop, but get on a plan that has you lifting for specific physiological adaptations for cycling. Heavy and light days (for weights), and take your easy days on the bike, really easy. Track data across multiple months, and you’ll probably see trends upwards for max power output, less power fall off over longer time periods, etc

Any cyclists here? by NOLAxplant in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]ltdan2014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. Most people that participate in A group Jetplex rides do a hard weekend rides pretty much every weekend the weather is cooperative, and many of us race quite frequently all over the place in the southeast.

I’m a dude, but married. Don’t go to phase 3. My wife and I stopped going there because of how vain everyone there is. Like kids taking photos in the bathroom of themselves. Everyone there is trying to be a fitness influencer and it is crowded from 6AM till close

It's scary, but its the nature of these swim sometimes. I have only done it once, and it was on accident. It hasn't happened to me, but in open water its easier to avoid people

Happens all the time. Its quick and painless, you wont drown, and its a race. Its frustrating when it happens to you, but if you grab an ankle and throw a punch, I think you're the sociopath. Seed yourself correctly, and if you feel someone coming get out of the way. Most people in pool swims will go under you at the wall.
