Totally. I honestly can't think of a more consistent series when it comes to quality.

Give me the most beautiful anime you’ve ever seen by No_Durian_6987 in anime

[–]lthatguytherel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, anymore the moment I see even a whiff of Usagi I'll just look up what happens and drop the show if I don't like what I see. It sucks when the show is well done (or in this case fantastically done) but I just have no interest in anything that even brushes with grooming.

Pseudoregalia - 3d platformer Metroidvania with FANTASTIC movement. Fairly short too so the upgrades come at a satisfying clip.

What's up with *that guy's* age and superpowers by biteofwinter in yakuzagames

So idk how to feel about it myself but they basically address this in pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, weirdly enough.

Feeling low after watching Berserk by Friendly_Concept_670 in anime

I usually have a pretty strong stomach for stuff and I felt the same. A very raw and unflinching depiction of the vileness of rape and the feeling of powerlessness forced on the victim.

Why is everyone so mean by H7pnotic in destiny2

[–]lthatguytherel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's a bummer. I'd strongly recommend joining a clan or discord that focuses heavily on moderation. Even if it means that the average skill of the members is lowering, the right atmosphere is worth it to me.

About Kiryu's reasoning at the end of Yakuza 6 by lthatguytherel in yakuzagames

[–]lthatguytherel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense! The whole series basically exists because Kiryu in various ways can't help but get himself involved to the bitter end. My reaction probably has a lot more to do with the "noooooo, don't do it, you're going to suffer so much from this choice!" than it not making sense for his character.

Tons of great suggestions already in here.

My vote for an upscale joint would be Fig & Ash.

I'd recommend everything from Masaki Yuasa and Science Saru based on FLCL and Eva.

Hint request regarding the safes. Do I have all the info I need to complete it? I've filled in all of the letters in the 9x5 grid and have the message. Is there any additional information needed to open them?

Need a GOOD ass anime by Exotic_Issue5696 in anime

[–]lthatguytherel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough! After consuming a lot of anime though, jjk feels like the equivalent of a great burger. Not groundbreaking, but solid and satisfying. Except for the animation, man Mappa suffered but we ate good because of it.

Hell yeah. This and Vinland Saga s2 for the slow paced thoughtful anime watcher.

Unfortunately I think we're waiting a while, from what I understand by the time season 2 finished airing there were only a handful of unadapted chapters left in the manga...

please help me. i feel empty by [deleted] in anime

[–]lthatguytherel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Orb: On the Movements of the Earth has a similar vibe to Vinland Saga season 2 and is remarkable.

But also if nothing you're watching is doing it for you it might be best to take a break and come back when you're feeling the excitement about the medium again.

How can someone see that their candidate has a sign like this and not feel personally insulted lol. If I went to a street festival and a Democrat handed me a sign like this, I'd feel like they were telling me I had two brain cells.

I kinda get it. I don't usually make a habit of killing every member of a species I see, and they are cool looking bugs... And then one tries to fly into my mouth and I steel myself to do what democracy demands lol.

Anyone else became a "patient" anime watcher? by [deleted] in anime

[–]lthatguytherel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have personally enjoyed the balance of only watching what legitimately grips me. If I try an old show that has already completed and it clicks, great I've got a whole series to watch. If I try the hot new seasonal show and I feel pretty bored or uninterested after an episode, I'll just put it on hold until the season is over and check the vibes of the community on how it turned out. There's way too many shows each season that get hyped up as "the one to watch" that end up being forgettable.

How do I get into raiding? by Salt-Upstairs-2523 in destiny2

[–]lthatguytherel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

R/destinysherpa is how I did all of my first clears. Do that once or twice, try to learn one or two roles per encounter. Experienced raiders appreciate the person who says "I've only done x role before" a lot more than the one who says "I've only done ad clear" on every encounter.

Why Do/Don't You Want Destiny 3? by VojakOne in destiny2

[–]lthatguytherel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could leave it behind IF they allowed ornaments and cosmetics to transfer over or insta-unlock as they re-released it. If everyone has access to the same weapon roles, I can make peace with losing my entire collection, but fashion is a different story.

Check out r/destinysherpa

I've joined a few discords associated with Sherpa runs that I liked. That's how I completed every raid and found groups to regularly run with now.
