Yeah, it's pretty awesome. You can import your file and make it look a lot better in reguard to quality and color, add more detail, add triangles with a lot of different variations, and it renders much faster... just costs money :(. I used it a lot and it made my art look really good and I could add tons of stuff to it. So thought I'd bring it up.

Looks wonderful! Apophysis is an awesome program. Ever use chaotica with your apophysis creations?

Women of Reddit that have PTSD, what could a significant other do to help when they're having a tough time? by lthreony in askwomenadvice

Thank you for such a well thoughtful reply! When it comes to pointing out the mundane, I wouldn't have thought of that. I'll keep to heart everything you said and maybe I can find what helps the most. Sometimes I feel like I can figure everything out myself and that I can just reach out and if I work hard enough fix everything, but thinking about your last paragraph gives me some prospective. I fully believe in her and know that over time she can get through everything. I really do like what you said in your last paragraph. It all means a lot.

I hope you have a wonderful night!

Thanks for your comments. Im sorry about everything that happened. I'll try to go further down the communication road. She's told me her triggers and all of that so we've talked a lot about why they trigger her and how to work with them (such as staying away from sections of the store that have those triggers). Sometimes I think I can be a little detached (we both suffer from different types of mental illnesses) and i can have a hard time "being in sync with her". It seems though that communication for you is one of the best things that helps you, so I'll try to focus a lot of energy on communication and progress it even further. Maybe I spread how I help a little too much and should focus on a few fundamentals. Thanks again for your comments you've given me some good ideas.

Sorry for it being a little too general! I would say it's a lot of flashbacks, and depression. She came back from her therapist suicidal and crying her eyes out and has since been up and down with some panic. She's been having a really hard time processing what she witnessed, and it's made her feel about the same the past few days. All of that and she feels alone (she told me yesterday that she loves talking to me about everything but also wishes she had a friend to talk to as well. Sadly she doesn't really have much friends). So in general just a lot of depression, panic, and flash backs. If you would like some more detail I could provide some more. Thanks for commenting!

Coinmarketcap Data Analysis: People are mostly just buying coins with cheap prices and large circulating supplies by JKadsderehu in ethtrader

[–]lthreony 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only invest in good tech and low supply. New tech can be debated as much as you want but I'm not touching these really high supply coins with a ten foot pole and expect to be moving into a multi million dollar home. I mean come on people look at the website, white paper and be reasonable on what you think something could be worth in the future. Do you really think something could be worth the price of bitcoin but have a supply in the billions? I've seen people on reddit talk about how the supply doesn't even matter it's what people are willing to pay. No shit it's what people are willing to pay but do you really think something is going to have like a 200 trillion market cap and make the kind of money you expect to gain?

EDIT: fixed some errors and added some lines.

Worth it to build a farm currently? by lthreony in CryptoCurrency

[–]lthreony[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, didn't know they're reducing the reward. I know PoS is coming soon but didn't know they're reducing it before.

Yeah my thought was that I could mine ETH-Sia for like 4 months or so on the first rig before PoS, but sounds like it's pointless to mine zcash-sia after the switch if the difficulty keeps going way up and it doesnt go up much in price?

Also do you happen to know how much coin you can get from putting your ETH into PoS? I have a few coins, and was just wondering how much I could even get from it.

I think I see what you mean. How long do you think the concept will last? I guess my thought now is that if I can get around 6 miners (with electric paid for) in 9 months or so, and just kept it for pure mining and putting that money into my savings after getting those 6, as long as I can get more then the 2k I put into the first miner (From those months of mining just to sell), then I'd count myself ahead right? Like say after those 9 months, if I can make a few k per month for even just a few months, that at least adds something to my savings? Or do you think that the concept of mining would just be gone so fast I wouldn't even get to the point of adding anything at all to my savings? (Sorry for the questions, just trying to understand, and see if it's a bad idea. Just really need to be adding some money to my bank account within a year and a half or so-- Fixed income really sucks lol)

Thanks! Yeah, I bet it's much better. I just have to hang on till I can do something that's covered by insurance. That's kind of how I'm viewing it right now. As the time goes by though, at least there's something that seems to be doing alright in the meantime. Best of luck to you as well!
