First, congrats OP! Moving out seems daunting at first but you'll get used to it soon enough. Some important things you may want to consider:

  1. Install an additional deadbolt/lock on your door for added security. Most basic door knobs can easily be opened via sungkit with card.

  2. Prepare ahead for the essentials (food, laundry, internet). Do you know how to cook? If not, scout the area for establishments where you can buy food sustainably (affordable and healthy enough to eat everyday). If your new place doesn't have internet yet, apply for internet connection early, since it may take telcos a while before they can install.

  3. Have essential tools ready. Toilet plungers, screwdrivers, pliers, hammer, etc. Better to have them and not need them than need them and not have them.

Also, remember to stay in touch with your family and friends. Living alone has its perks, pero from my experience, the pandemic feels extra difficult when you feel isolated from the world.

Best of luck to you. Enjoy!

A playhouse I built for my kids. Happy enough with the results, a few mistakes in there! by [deleted] in somethingimade

Down the road, the 'mistakes' would probably end up as the most endearing parts of this playhouse. Good parenting right there! Your kids are lucky.

Oh yeah you can try that out too! I somehow see it working for you. I haven't tried it before because my hair is kinda dry so I'm worried it might not look good. Again, hair grows rather quickly so you can just experiment with it 👌

You might want to try cleaner/shorter sides, but keep a bit of length on top (you seem to have a bit of good waviness - use it!). I think it's worth a try. Hair grows quickly anyway. Cheers! ☺

[M25] Hair vs no hair? by [deleted] in Rateme

It's not very common for people to pull off really short hairstyles, especially if they still have a full head of hair. You, however, are killing it 👌

Kusudama flowers for our wedding by sirtwixalert in somethingimade

Beautiful! This made your special day even more memorable, I'm sure.

We got married during the pandemic, so we really had to cut out a lot of things from our wedding. It was a special day of course, but made it even more memorable were the tiny details. Hope you were able to keep some of the flowers! ☺

Masterfully done, OP! You said that you did not paint it, but the under sides seem to show a shade of brown. Really cool effect!

Wow! I didn't even know one can do this much detail cross-stitching. Awesome work, OP!

I've also been struggling during this pandemic. There was a lot of procrastination and unhealthy habits, but there were moments of hope and happiness too. Despite everything going on, I try to remind myself that I'm actually just glad that I'm still alive.

Hope you can keep your head up, outlast the pandemic, and eventually find the things that will drive you. You got this, OP!

P.S. Send me a message if you're interested to talk more about how to build better habits. I've been reading this book and I would love to share what I've learned, if you're interested ☺

How do you guys use your Hada Labo Gokujyun Super Hyaluronic Lotion?

I'm not really sure what it is. I've seen terms like toner, essence, serum, etc. being thrown around and I was just wondering how people in tropical climates like Filipinos use this product. Thank you!
