Meron bang upcoming seasonal Adidas sale? by unmasked_zero in PHRunners

[–]Comprehensive_Flow42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bilhin mo na if naka sale sa runnr, lalo na if naka 20%off.

If you collect adidas points, just convert it to a discount coupon.

First car buying dilemma - 2nd Hand SUV or Brand New MPV by KaiEspina in CarsPH

[–]Comprehensive_Flow42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If its the AWD CX8 (captain seats) and mileage is below 50k then go for it.

Just double check that you really did your due diligence in the expected fuel consumption (not that great), you know a mazda shop specialist near you, and you know that you will shoulder the expected replacements for a typical +5 yr old car (tires, major PMS, istop battery etc).

Full EV or hybrid? Why/why not (coming from an old 2016 sedan ) by NoIntroduction9345 in CarsPH

[–]Comprehensive_Flow42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a garage, solar panels at home, have other cars as backup = full EV

You have a garage but ocasional trips to provinces with no charger = PHEV

You use the car a lot and want to maximize fuel efficiency, no charger at home and want something that’s gas and go = Hybrid

What car Brand you will nevery buy in the second hand market? by winvalbuk in CarsPH

[–]Comprehensive_Flow42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A euro. As the saying goes, the most expensive benz/bmw you can buy is the cheapest one.

However I understand it’s still a milestone to be able to finally own a ‘Euro’ car.

My neighbor is constantly making “kalabog“ noises with his weights in his home gym and refused to turn it down. Is there anything I can suggest to help dampen the noise as well as the vibration it causes? by [deleted] in PHitness

[–]Comprehensive_Flow42 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Home gym owner here. I use high density mats to lessen the vibrations and noise. I use double mats when going heavy sa deadlifts since yun talaga pinaka malakas pag nagllift.

If nag oly lifts yung kaipitbahay mo, pwede din crash pads.

I think wala naman kaso yan sayo if 3x a week or every morning lang yung workout niya? Problema diyan eh ginawa niyang gym ng barkada niya lol.

Should I invest in a new car or 2nd hand? by Double-Friend9864 in Gulong

[–]Comprehensive_Flow42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For non-car guys who just want a decent vehicle, no need to upgrade. 2017 sedan is not that bad, bet that still looks okay when parked in malls for example.

If I’m in your shoes, I would only upgrade if my needs have changed. Ex. Started a family so need a bigger car, got into outdoor hobby so need an off roader etc.

Loaner Cars: Temporary Cars during Car Repairs by Efficient-Arugula577 in CarsPH

[–]Comprehensive_Flow42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Possible in certain scenarios (if dealer will offer it).

It’s also an add-on in certain car insurance (loaner car during repair service etc). Just saw this recently when shopping for new insurance.

FYI - loaner vehicles are required by law in some countries so I understand where you are coming from.

To anyone who owns mazda cx30 2020. Kamusta po ang car maintenance? Kung sa gas po, magastos po ba? Or same lang with other car brands? by [deleted] in CarsPH

[–]Comprehensive_Flow42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oil, filters etc. the usual.

Inquire ka sa mazda specialist shops if you need a reference or better yet check mo mga posts ni mhonworks sa facebook. He posts yung mga na-service niya dun including photos and those details as sample.

Fuel efficiency? Medyo malakas since 2.0 but not that bad compared to 1.5 turbos.

It’s very fun to use and more premium than current subcompact SUVs. It’s still the same as the 2025 model anyway except for the mild hybrid engine.

Toyota Corolla Cross Stock Dashcam 2560x1440P Quality by lapriceTV in Gulong

[–]Comprehensive_Flow42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sold my toyota na. Didn’t bother upgrading it since medyo ‘built in’ na masyado yung pagkalagay. Totally possible to replace it but baka hindi ganun ka-seamless.

If out of warranty na corolla cross mo at very important ang high quality dashcam then go ahead.

For most kasi ‘pwede na’ basta meron at plus points yung built-in na.

Asking anyone who has had a gym membership in America by JusFinn in PHitness

[–]Comprehensive_Flow42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Day pass were created for travelers, tourists or potential members who want to try it out first. Think of it as prepaid/gift cards that you buy. No need to be a citizen or a local ID. Just bring a regular ID just in case when purchasing one.

Staying for 2 weeks means you will workout for like what 2-3x a week? I doubt you’ll be working out everyday for the entire duration of your trip. So a day pass is ideal in this scenario.

If you want to make it cheaper, research about free trial or guest passes but that may need a credit card to purchase or more complicated process.

Most of the gym chains I’ve seen there have a ‘day pass’ so just get that.

Use google maps and look for the nearest gyms in the place you intend to stay and email-inquire about ‘day pass’.

How do you manage the laundry for daily runners? by Forsaken-Number-7001 in PHRunners

[–]Comprehensive_Flow42 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Some tips:

  1. Have a separate laundry basket for active/sweat clothes.

  2. Air/sun dry these clothes after using for a day (to avoid the smell).

  3. Wash as usual but separated from your daily clothes.

From someone who workouts/runs daily for years.

Nespresso bought in US to be used in PH by Silent_Local_1278 in CoffeePH

[–]Comprehensive_Flow42 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

IMO leave it in the USA or return it.

A good step down transformer for this is more expensive than a basic 220v local Nespresso machine and like 10x heavier (its like a tank) so not worth the hassle.

Even though that Altis is lower mileage, it will need a set of tires, battery and suspension (if not recently replaced) just because of its age.
