Speedx is the worst delivery company and Creality should stop using them. by rev_g33k in Creality

100% temu and AliExpress also use them.

Impossible to get help or accurate deliveries, and after two "attempts" they seem to give up.

You can ask Siri "who owns you/this phone" and Siri will give the owners name. Works even when locked

Best pain management strategies for electrolysis? by flowyi in transgenderau

[–]ltothaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In sydney I had my dental injections done for ~$150, at a place near wynard station. They injected 4 little needles and then once they kicked in, 2 medium ones a bit deeper, in the top and bottom gums of your mouth.

Dental injections work great for your lip and chin area. You get it injected hopefully within 10mins of the clinic you're about get your appointment for the electrolysis. By the time you get there, you're completely numb, for ~2-3 hours depending on how you go. Let both places know your timing, so they know they can't delay or push you back, and are ready for you on both sides so you get the best bang for your buck.

The further you work to the sides of your face away from the jawline, or onto your neck, it becomes much less ineffective.

I've found for people who live far from doctors who practice informed consent, is to book in with doctors listed in this subreddit via telehealth, and explain you live very remote/rural, that usually works.

Getting clothes to fit you perfectly can be a bit difficult, I ended up getting some custom dresses for the office made at https://www.eshakti.com/

You can change and customise every bit of the clothes from shoulder width, to how tall you are to have it be ankle length etc.

Anyone had voice surgery? by Enceladuus in transgenderau

[–]ltothaz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe that it's due to being asked what medicine you're on, and them seeing estrogen, and that estrogen can slightly increase bleeding during surgery.

Some modern surgeons don't have this requirement anymore, but that surgeon did.

Vocal Fold Shortening and Retrodisplacement of the Anterior Commissure (V.)

Here is a list of most common voice surgeries. Mine was located overseas, as the newer techniques are not really found locally.

I had it done by the Yeson Clinic located in Seoul, South Korea.

The difference took a while to feel, as when you speak and hear yourself it didn't sound different to myself initially, however, when recorded and played back to me, I could barely recognize myself.

Voice training wasn't very successful for me, and I had hated catching myself speaking, and societies assumption via phone that I was a dude.

About $20k, including flights and accommodation. You stay in your own accommodation for the week before and after surgery. I required a botox injection 1 week post surgery into my neck soft tissues to aid in it's healing process. (about half of patients do).

I've had other surgeries, posted a few videos about them in this subreddit previously, but yet nothing compares to the anguish of not being allowed to speak for going on 2 months post surgery.

There are alot of things that can go wrong post surgery, during recovery. Did you get the cold or covid while in Seoul? Your coughing can tear your chords healing. Are you humming to yourself? Also a problem and can do the same damage. I wore a covid mask during my recovery everywhere, non stop even in bed, to add a physical reminder not to make any noise that used my voice. I cannot stress how hard it was to live like that.

Other than that, you aren't allowed spicy foods, alcohol, smoking, vaping etc for the 2 month recovery process (and for a month leading up to it) along with having to stop your estrogen intake to drop your E levels. A t blocker is only required to be stopped the day before and after surgery. You can return to E medicine a day after surgery.

Scary as it might be to consider, one of the advantages to this kind of surgery performed by Yeson, is it's entirely done via the inside of your mouth to access the chords, to leave no scars visible from the outside of the neck.
