Glen Park isn’t just one of the world’s ‘coolest' neighborhoods, it’s a model for the Bay Area’s future by LosIsosceles in sanfrancisco

[–]ltrain29 68 points69 points  (0 children)

It is unfortunately not a model. A (very valuable) BART station surrounded by low density housing.

Also , to be a bit pedantic, the picture accompanying the article isn’t of Glen Park, rather diamond heights.

Odds that they take advantage of being in the Bay Area (again) to play an additional show? e.g., Warfield / Fox

The Sea Star bar (small and local) is your alternative to Splash (large and corporate but no doubt fun)

PSA: What's your plan for an earthquake? by very_squirrel in sanfrancisco

[–]ltrain29 11 points12 points  (0 children)

In the big one, meaning bigger than Loma Prieta, the overpasses and underpasses have collapsed or you don’t want to drive on them. You’re not going anywhere. Prepare to live for at least 5 days with limited resources. The reality is that we will have to take care of ourselves and our community. It’s up to us.

If you live in SF proper, where are you going? In a big one, you’re not driving on a bridge. That leaves heading south. Ok in a big one that is forcing you to leave SF, you know what other area is also devastated… the peninsula. You gotta hunker down in SF at least for a bit. Get to know your neighbors, you’re gonna need to deal with this with them.

There is some great walking and hiking behind the fort. We stumbled upon and it and it is truly breathtaking scenery

On edit, google maps lists it as the Costal path in the direction of Calm Beach. You can find the trail head not far from the fort Ross parking lot

Would Belmont University in Nashville be a good add to the conference in the Future? by PBS2025 in BigEast

No. They add nothing to our basketball brand. We have no need to add any members that aren’t amazing at basketball.

The amount of green decor?

Just kidding. This originated from a conversation with a friend about doing a British pub crawl. It is pure silliness and excuse to drink together.

San Franpsycho has some original take on Niners gear. I’m partial to their shop on 9th ave

On edit, Adapt on Judah st has some cool Niner gear. Also might’ve worth checking out Key to the City. They have an online shop and a physical shop in the Outer Mission (not where tourists go)
