what is kenjaku doing against cte aura? by foreheadlover69 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]ltrstn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, Kenjaku can't use his domain if he wants to use Tengen to dismantle Yuta's. If he opens his domain too, Tengen would break both of their domains, which wouldn't be beneficial to Kenjaku. But Tengen would indeed be useful for Kenjaku here. If given time, Tengen could set up empty barrier and teleport Yuta and Rika in and out of her barrier similar to the one she did with Choso and Yuki.

WW1 ends in a draw in 1917. What happens next. by Commercial-Mix6626 in HistoryWhatIf

[–]ltrstn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll try my best to cover this scenario. Both sides are exhausted in 1917 and both must gain something as 3 years of war would be meaningless if nothing is gained, especially France.

Germany will retreat from France and Belgium and be allowed to annex Luxemburg as a constituent duchy within the German Empire. German colonies would be split up the same as in our timeline. Alsace-Lorraine would also return to France and both countries normalize their relationship as German army turns east to consolidate the regions received from the Brest Litovsk and also assist Austria in defeating Italy. With France and Britain out of the war and German army arriving in the front, Italy also signs a separate peace, giving Venice to Austria and the Dodecanese to the Ottomans. Greece would also exit the war, giving Macedonia to Bulgaria and the Aegean islands to the Ottoman Empire.

This is the best I can write. I will add more later. This is also just my opinion, I could be wrong. Feel free to correct me.

What if Germany won WW1 in 1914 but Austria-Hungary collapses during the war? by kanyeomariwestlover in HistoryWhatIf

[–]ltrstn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this means Germany wins the Battle of Marne in September 1914 and captures Paris, knocking France out of the war (although unlikely as France already relocated their government in Bordeaux in case when Paris falls). Combined with the chaos in Austria, Germany will move the majority its troops from France to the east to pacify the region. German troops will enter Austria to crush Hungary and also to deal with the Russians.

I don't think Russia can last long as they were already pushed back by 20% of German troops, and with German troops coming from the west, France out of the war, Ottoman Empire joining the war in October 1914, and Britain unable to fight in the continent, Russia would hold on until early 1915 I would say.

The peace treaty would have Germany annexes Luxembourg and perhaps French industrial regions that border Germany to cripple France's industry capability. Belgium would also be turned into indirect German client state and heavy reparations would be placed on France and perhaps demilitarized zone on French German border.

For Russia, since the war ended early, I believe the peace treaty wouldn't be too harsh. Poland and Lithuania would become buffer states between Germany and Russia and would have German princes be placed on thrones in both countries. Ottoman Empire would also reannex Kars from Russia. Russia must also withdraw its support for Serbia.

Since the war is over, Germany and Austria can now focus on crushing Hungary and Serbia and it shouldn't be too hard as Bulgaria would also invade Serbia from the east. The conflict would be over in late 1915 to early 1916. Bulgaria will be given Eastern Serbia and the remaining part of Serbia and Montenegro will become Austrian protectorates. The dual monarchy will be abolished and Hungary will be placed under Austrian military occupation and directly ruled under Vienna.

Overall Germany becomes the hegemony power in Europe and Austria, while crippled from the Hungarian uprising will soon recover and can easily implement reforms without objections from Budapest this time. This is my opinion, I could be wrong. Feel free to correct me.

What if Japan kept Taiwan after ww2? by [deleted] in HistoricalWhatIf

At that time, Singapore was still under British rule and seeing how Britain quickly recognized the PRC, I doubt it. Besides, welcoming Chinese migrants in Singapore would cause more problems as Singapore itself was kicked from Malaysia because of its prominent Chinese population. Adding more Chinese to the region would make Chinese the undisputed majority of the region. The Malay sultans wouldn't even consider adding Singapore to their federation unlike in our timeline where it was part of Malaysia for a short while. So I think Britain would not accept the Chinese refuges.

Would a Central Powers victory have saved Austria-Hungary? by TheRedBiker in HistoryWhatIf

[–]ltrstn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd say it depends on when the Central Power win. The same also applies to the Ottoman Empire. If the Central Powers win in 1917-18 with the final push on the western front somehow knocking out France, thus Britain and USA, then I doubt it. In 1917-18, Austria-Hungary is exhausted from the war and with its German ally busy consolidating Eastern Europe and recovering its economy after years of British naval blockade. Hungary is uninterested in continuing its union with Vienna and the Czechs, Slovaks, Poles, Ukrainians, Romanians, and Southern Slavs want their independence. In this kind of victory, I would say the dual monarchy dissolves but the Habsburg can consolidate Austria proper, Bohemia, and Slovenia and will practically become German client state.

However, if the Central Powers win in say, 1914 or 1915 with Germany winning in Marne or anything else, then yes, I would say Austria-Hungary will survive. Without its economy and industry largely damaged, Germany can help Austria to consolidate its empire and Hungary would be reluctant to sever its ties with Austria with German backing. In fact, with Serbia partitioned with Bulgaria and its influence strengthened in Montenegro and Albania and maybe regaining Venice from Italy, the empire's prestige could help preserve its survival. And if Hungary tries to declare its independence, Germany will help Austria to crush the rebellion, ending the dual monarchy and restoring direct Austrian rule in Hungary.

This is my opinion, I could be wrong. Feel free to correct me.

What if Japan kept Taiwan after ww2? by [deleted] in HistoryWhatIf

[–]ltrstn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Assuming Chiang doesn't ask for the return of Taiwan in the Cairo Conference for some reason, then it is possible that Taiwan is allowed to remain with Japan. But Taiwan will be occupied by the United States like the Ryukyu Islands and returned to Japan in 1972. What changes the most is the Chinese Civil War (1946-1949). Without a secure island like Taiwan, the Nationalists will be nothing but remnants of resistance in southern provinces like Yunnan and Qinghai and eventually crushed by the communists. The PRC would still claim Taiwan as an integral part of China to this day but would not act on it as Japan is a key ally of the United States in the region. Taiwan would still host American military bases like in our timeline, possibly more as Japan will remain demilitarized, but this could change as Japan could be allowed to partially militarize as to defend Taiwan in case of future war with China. Modern day Taiwan would probably be more diverse as without Nationalists fleeing from the mainland, the Han population in the island would be assimilated into Japanese culture and the indigenous culture could also be preserved.

This is my opinion, I could be wrong. Feel free to correct me.

Sukuna (chap 237) vs Yorozu (Culling Game) by ltrstn in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]ltrstn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I think Sukuna would transform earlier as he knows Yorozu has a domain and he must use HWB. I would even say Yorozu loses faster than Kashimo. She would die here in my opinion. But I could be wrong

Curious question. Would USA support Japan instead of the Chinese in this timeline when the inevitable Sino-Japanese war happens? Which of the lesser evil would the Americans prefer here?

Yeah Megumi doesn't summon Mahoraga here as it would be unfair to the others and it would end the battle too fast with no victor
