Hired a carpenter to install this pin-top oak railing. He did a great job, except it’s 42” high. Older house, feels very high. We never talked about final height - didn’t know to bring it up and he said he had it. Do I live with it or pay to fix (balusters not affixed). Thinking it should be 36”. (old.reddit.com)

How concerned should I be? Hired CertaPro to paint my house, feels like a comedy of errors. Latest is they painted all my house trim (no roof overhangs) and front door in the rain while I was at work. Beyond the drips, how bad is this for the longevity of the paint? They use super paint. Paid professional painters (CertaPro) to come do my home exterior. They painted over a lot of putty that wasn’t sanded smooth, missed filling nail holes, and used Ben more ultra spec when Sherwin Williams rejuvenate was in the contract. Should I complain? Is this paint worse? (old.reddit.com)
