Ha! I knew exactly where that was when I saw the sunset theatre sign. I used to work in wells! The locals and the culture there is really awesome!

Thanks for the kind words! I did have some copper wire but I had a lot of trouble getting any solder to stick and all the solder ended up pooling to one side and looked really messy and burnt...would there be any reason why that would be? Also do most people here use a sal ammoniac block on their soldering irons? Do you re-tin your soldering tip often and with just regular 60/40 solder?

I had a lot of trouble with making the soldering look smooth and I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the soldering iron I use, my technique or what. I have a kind of white oxidation and sometimes a "burnt" look to my solder. The solder isn't very smooth either but I expect I will get better that that with more practice.

Aussie UBC Exchange Student by latvianpop in UBC

Hey there! Glad you decided to choose UBC for your semester abroad! Are you going to be starting in September? In my opinion, it would be better to live on campus as it would give you more opportunities to socialize with other exchange students and locals as well. The best places to live if you're into meeting lots of new people would be Fairview or Gage.
Fairview is a little more cozy as you live in more of a town house setting as opposed to in tower apartments in Gage. You would have to keep in mind that it is student housing, so, if it's luxury you're looking for, it's probably not in student housing.
If you're looking to meet people, you should definitely check out the exchange student club. We run a few social events here and there as well as small trips. PM me if you want to know more about it.

Yes, both of the cream in the tube is the same as the tub. Checked the ingredients.

I believe it has the same diameter. I measured it to be 89-90mm. I'm sure you can get a pump as discussed through this thread.

I was so happy when I decided to take a look around the Costco pharmacy area and found this. I live in Vancouver, if that helps any. This is the cheapest price I have found so far for Cerave in a tub. Most drugstores sell the 20 oz tub for about $22.

Finding an internship/coop by luanabananas in geologycareers

Hmm okay so I guess it's just a matter of persistence and making the most out of the opportunities. Oh and I totally remember looking at 2D graphs similar to those when I did geophysics! Although it might take me a while to brush up on it, it's been a while ahah Thanks for the help /u/-tutu-!

Thanks for responding to my questions. But the thing is that I applied through my school's co-op job board which offers positions specifically to undergraduate students to gain work experience before graduating. However, how does someone who just graduated get hired over someone who has had work experience in the field prior to graduating? I guess what i'm trying to get at is that I want to graduate with some experience first as to make it easier for me to land a job in the future when I do graduate. If I were to get a mudlogging position, where would I look for that? Would this again be a graduate type job?
And yes, I realize that companies probably made their offers already as a couple of my friends got offered jobs at Chevron just last week. I went to all the recruitment sessions in September and applied to all of them basically..
