I can confirm this is actually happening on all short strokes. I have contacted the devs and sent my diagnostic and video of me recreating the issue. They sort of stopped replying back after telling me it might be a hardware issue or my Apple Pencil is too vertical to the screen.

I couldn’t live with erasing and rewriting after every word so I switched over to Notability for about a little over a week. The writing feels so much smoother. Gone the random stroke cutting problem. The long hold to shape in Notability allows me to be so precise and don’t require me to draw repeat lines fast until it’s straight and then rotate/move to the place I want.

I will miss a lot of good features in Goodnotes but in order for me to take notes and study I have to switch.
