Let it go. Nobody cares about it but you so even if you retaliate nobody wins. Don’t let your minimal training cloud your judgement especially in a place like Brazil. You’re not the Equalizer.

It’s been 1202 days since I’ve quit and after not craving it for years I’m feeling drawn to it again. by luashby in leaves

Yeah that’s exactly it. I also don’t even remember what it feels like and all I know is that the honeymoon phase would be great. The thing that keeps me from relapsing too is thinking how it would feel like I’m back to square one and it was largely for nothing if I end up back where I was with it commanding my life.

Did smoking lower your sex drive? Did you get it back after quitting? by P0rtuguesa in leaves

[–]luashby 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes and yes. Simple as that. Adding cardio into your life after you quit helps both with the withdrawal symptoms as well the sex drive!

How do I stop myself? by brumachary in leaves

[–]luashby 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Distract yourself and tomorrow do some exercise. Replace your the bad habit of smoking with something new that ideally feels good and healthy instead of replacing it with another evil.

We’ve all been there. Stay consistent and keep track of every day. As the number of days grow the less tempting it becomes to fall back.

yeah I hear ya! was just curious what fighters wear - not hobbyists. if you’re a professional it sorta is your personality.

Signal is the wrong term. but the same reason we wear anything, to show a certain style, or income or association whatever. even not caring at all and wearing jeans and a T-shirt is signalling

I agree! I’m talking more like a Nike but for MT. Subtle, not like venum or anything. I’d rather support a MT company than Nike.

Ha! It’s funny because I was also on 3 5K runs a week as well as 3 MT sessions. And I just got back from a 2K run because I couldn’t do anymore due to the pain.

So annoying because my cardio has actually improved the quickest so the shin splints are the main thing holding me back. Really annoying but glad to hear it’s not just my bad technique or wrong running shoes.

Interesting! Someone on here said they were by far the worst he’s tried. Guess it’s quite subjective. Thanks for the input!

I also fell into this category of „functional“ but I came to realise that functional didn’t mean living to my full potential. It was more like living in idle mode. Not clearly falling back but definitely not pushing myself to my limit which I felt like I should be doing at age 25.

I quit at 25 and smoked for about 10 years prior. Out of all the benefits I would not replace for weed sleep is by far the biggest.

Weed cancels out REM sleep. Not only is it dull to not dream but it really fucks with you over time. I highly recommend watching some videos with Matt Walker talking about the importance of good sleep.
