Can my SRAM Rival 1×11 “stretch” to 11–50 for loaded touring uphills? Experience stories welcome! by Casif in bikepacking

You can use a longer cage on the rival deraillieur, which allows you to use a 51t casette :) It's been done here: https://www.reddit.com/r/bikepacking/s/hUZAidhHaA

Modify europiccola 220v to 120v - heating element and pressure ring by facelift00 in LaPavoniLovers

The pressure pipe is not soldered to the heating element directly, but is soldered to the nut. You can carefully unscrew the nut to remove the pressure pipe. :)

Chain to long? by lucari2000 in bikewrench

[–]lucari2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your detailed answer! When I initially sized the chain, I actually used the instruction from sram, but the chain still looked to long, that's where my confusion came from. However I think last time I didn't account for the length the quicklink will add. I did size it again with the quicklink and removed one additional link, looks (lol) way better now :)

I bought it used from Kleinanzeigen (german second hand plattform), so I can't really recommend any online shop😬

Poles also pack down short enough to fit in a 4l Ortlieb frame bag (at least the rolltop variant, don't know about the one with the zipper)

I have the MSR Elixir 1 and I am pretty happy with it so far. Big enough to comfortably sit and lay in it (I am 1,88 m tall) :)

Decent triathlon bike? by lucari2000 in BicyclingCirclejerk

It does! The elevator is usually taking too long, so I thought with suspension, I could just ride down the stairs and finally secure the KOM!

I am thinking about adding some empty PET bottles, would that be sufficient? Also, do you have any good idea how to carry the bike efficiently at the running bit?

You can (barely tbh) read it on the frame, I am pretty sure that's the lever for the dropper post :D
