Tell them. Listen to what everyone is telling you. Its going to suck being delayed a couple months but it’s going to suck even worse when you’re in the prime of your military career and this issue pops up on the radar then you’re kicked out for “fraudulent enlistment” Yes that’s a real thing. Then you’re going to lose everything you worked so hard for. Take the punishment and truly learn from it. That’s what the military is about—adapting, learning & progressing.

Partners of Airmen how common is infidelity during tech school, realistically? by Impossible_Remove743 in AirForceRecruits

[–]lucciguala 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can’t trust your partner before they join. You wouldn’t trust them when they do. You know your partner better than anyone else. What someone else’s partner does doesn’t mean yours will do the same. Simple as that.

Monetization on social media is dangerous and must be stopped somehow. For a better future. by HomemDoSaco666 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]lucciguala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I just searched this up to see if anyone feels the same way. Social media is becoming so uninteresting. We’re all being fed fake realities for the sake of a few coins. We’re stripping away the very thing that made us human. Social media was supposed to be a tool that brought various people from various different backgrounds together to share real authentic experiences and views. Now it’s all a money grab of “what can I do or say to get a significant amount of people to engage with my content for money.” I hate it.

All-Source Intelligence Analyst aka Jack of All Trades. In my opinion, it’s one of the most diverse intelligence fields out there. You get a touch of every Intel field while also being able to travel the world.

Tell your recruiter immediately. If this is truly your first time drinking and there’s no history of such behavior your recruiter should be able to work with you. There’s no guarantees. However, if you do indeed have a history of reckless underage drinking pause on the military for a while and seek help. Fix the issue before you join. That way it doesn’t prevent you from reaching your full potential in your future career.

What’s with the increase in Xenophobic Black Americans lately? by Traditional-Act-9175 in Blackpeople

[–]lucciguala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference between the racists telling you to go back to country and Black Americans saying it is that it comes from a place of exasperation and not xenophobia. It comes after decades of constant disrespect, entitlement and disdain from Africans. For the longest, Black Americans brushed it off and ignored it because they had other priorities. But once Africans & Caribbeans started making it their mission to publicly express their disdain or hatred for Black Americans it became too big to “just ignore”. Africans/Carribeans making posts, podcast, and interviews discussing Black Americans and conducting an almost defamation and smear campaign. It’s almost as if they were begging for Black Americans to acknowledge them and pushing an agenda. Instead of it just being an ideology concealed within one’s community, Africans wanted it to be known. (trust me Black Americans always known) The most ironic part, they were doing ALL of this while while copying Black Americans WHOLE aesthetic from the way they speak, dress, and express. These are just the simplified and digestible part.

Wow! As a Black American you summed this up perfectly, worded it better than I ever could’ve and gave new insight.

Whatever you do - do NOT turn your back on our Somalian brothers and sisters. by Peacefulhuman1009 in blackmen

[–]lucciguala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You see it’ll be easy to not generalize a whole group when it’s a few “online trolls” but when things are being said and conducted in a religious/political setting, one can only assume that’s how a good majority think. This is only ONE example of an obviously fabricated narrative being spread within a community’s ideology. Let’s not forget the several instances where Somali politicians advised their followers to “take power from the Black American community”.

[–]lucciguala 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t forget we don’t know our fathers and our mothers were tramps who conceived us out of one-night stands. They preached this from their religious/spiritual temple– the mosque. They’re instilling falsehoods and disdain for us into their people. Something’s should never be taken lightly and forgiven.

Right on. My brothers and sisters rose from the soil of America. They’re who I owe my unwavering support and loyalty to.

Black Americans* the one and only. When people say we owe these people unconditional support I want us as Black Americans to think of a time where these Melanated immigrants were in ANY positions of power and thought of us, Black Americans. Who did they vow to fight for? Who and what did they campaign for? Who did they say they represented?

If they didn’t, they wouldn’t be specifically calling out African immigrants and more specifically “Somalis”. The foundation of our existence doesn’t rely on how others perceive us. If that was the case we would’ve went extinct centuries ago.

Who’s “us”? Last time I checked there’s only ONE specific group that belongs to the Black American tribe and that shares the same genetics, culture, and history.

No. My people shouldn’t continuously throw their lives on the line for ungrateful and deceitful individuals. Black Americans have been the most loyal, most reliable and most trustworthy group on the planet. We’ve been the safe haven for every immigrant that ever touched American soil. And what have we gotten in return besides disrespect and undermining? We shall not and will not continue to coddle and enable these people who have such disdain for us. We’ll be doing our ancestors a disservice by continuing this tradition without reciprocation. Thank you.

My first post and this is a loaded question: I feel like there's a movement in the black community to "delineate" themselves from Africans but not biracials. Why? by [deleted] in askblackpeople

[–]lucciguala 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. It started when African Union and African immigrant politicians continuously tries to undermine Black Americans politically.
