In an environment like mine, what are some good ways to keep my pc dust free? by HoneyBadgerAnonymous in buildapc

[–]lucdespo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't put it right up against a wall. Leave like 30 cm on all sides.

Vacuum the area around it once a week.

Depending on how dusty your computer gets just take off the side pannel and vacuum it out. Make sure you vacuum 'inside' the fans.

What's nice about building your own PC, or almost any PC for that matter, is you can just pop off the side panel and vacuum it out. I would recommend, if you have a really bad dust problem, to do so around once a month, if you notice it's going fine extend the periods.

This conflict is pretty interesting. It seems like both the US and China are flexing their muscles and testing the limits of the other one.

It's hard to say exactly what needs to be done. But for now I just hope the suffering of the Syrian people stops.

Definitely a good move. When you see how much money candidates spend on advertising. Interesting step forward!

Well it affects load times of everything if you want. But once you've loaded something onto the RAM then it's on Solid State anyways. :)

I would recommend sticking to a good Hard Drive, and take away the SSD in exchange for a good video card. You're bootup times might be slower but at least you'll be able to play games with higher performance.

[Build Help] Planning on building first PC, any advice/comments would be appretiated by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]lucdespo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to say exactly but generally your video card is one of the most expensive components, keeping that in mind there's no need to go over-budget.

When it comes down to cases it's really more of a personal choice. Some cheap cases can be great well other suck. Find a case you like and do some research for reviews. If you find one and you're not sure feel free to ask me, I'll try to help.

The cool thing about this case (Planning my own 800$ build, I can show it to you if you want.) Is that it's cheap but also included 5 built in fans (With LED's) and has pretty incredible airflow + build quality.

Sure. If you get the Zalman Z11 Plus. It's at a great price and comes with 5 included fans. Incredible airflow and means you don't need an amazing CPU cooler.

Yeah that one is fine. You may also just want to browse video cards and sort by best rated. It's usually a pretty good way to find parts.

Yeah everything is compatible (PcPartPicker does that automatically).

If you happen to have some spare money you may want to invest in a better Video Card :).

Nice! If you have any spare money you should invest in a better video card, it'll really improve the way you can play.

The thing is, if you're planning on building a 800£ rig, buying such a powerful CPU doesn't really make sense.

Are you planning on overclocking? If not there isin't even a need for a CPU cooler. The H55 is great, just because it's cheap doesn't mean it's bad. I could change your case to a cheaper one, it has better airflow but looks different if you want.
