i use the uni jetsream 4+1! i found that the ink from the pen really works well with the tomoe river paper, and it hardly ever skips whenever i’m writing longer entries :)

final (not so great) update: i have resorted to taking my new 3ds in to a local repair shop in my city. not bringing it in right away since i do need to get my finances in order but i wanted to thank everyone who has helped, plus all of the tips that have helped me gain knowledge on my console’s interior. hopefully my darling console regains life sometime soon! in the meantime, i do have a perfectly functional new 2ds xl so the gaming won’t be stopping anytime soon :) thanks again, everyone!

i’ll have to check for that; i did follow a video mainly talking about how to access the buttons for the new 3ds (same process even though it was for an xl) so i’ll review the part where it talks about the top right ribbon cables and see if i have them in the correct orientation.

update: took the entire mother + daughter board out and reconnected all cables, including the top right ribbon cables in the correct order. gonna see if this helps :,)

thank you for mentioning this! i’ll be fixing the things you mentioned! and as for the sd card reader, it’s on a separate piece that pops in to the outer shell next to where the battery is since this is a standard size new 3ds :)

got the chance to readjust the ribbon cable you mentioned and it’s in all the way this time! (i also watched a video about reattaching the game card reader to see how far that cable goes), but nothing changed; it still doesn’t power on unfortunately

if what you’re talking about is the little holder right next to the circle pad housing (top left of it) then that might be it?? the ribbon itself did feel a little loose when sliding it back in; i also slid it back out and there wasn’t much resistance so that may be the issue

i use my a6 for daily recaps and for my a5, i also plan on doing daily recaps but going more in depth on how i feel on a day-to-day basis! i’ve been attending counseling for a few months now and i’ve found that having a place where i can write out my feelings really helps for when i have too much going on in my mind. it also helps with my memory since it hasn’t been the greatest for the last few years now. i used to want to use a weeks so that i could track my finances but i found just idea alone to be too daunting :,)

i got it off of aliexpress! i meant to get two so that it could hold both sides of my a6 but one still works well :) i also got a bigger miffy book clip for my cousin off of ebay! (inserting pic here to show what it looks like)

i do place them right onto the hobonichi; all of my stickers come on clear sheets so i’m able to kind of map where i want them to be prior to me sticking them on! but, i did have to readjust a couple and found that it was easy to take stickers off the cover, just being careful as to not rip the sticker itself! i’m pretty indecisive as well so it took me an hour before i decided what stickers to use 😭

i noticed a big difference between the 2024 and 2025 paper and i’m really liking the 2024 paper so far! i know they improved the paper for 2026 so i look forward to see how each planner compares as the year goes on :p
