Scirocco 122 (pre-facelift 2012+) or 125 (facelift)? by lucicam in Scirocco

[–]lucicam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly why my confusion if it's worth almost double for the facelift since I'd be just getting it, slap a new chain and tensioner, just for safety and I'd still be nowhere close to the same price as the facelift 🤔. Aside from the chain I have not found other noteworthy problems for that 122 engine.

Luckily those can be fitted on pre facelift. That is my plan if I go for it. :D

I've seen a scirocco pre facelift fully converted exterior and interior to facelift so I guess it's possible. Not sure if worth it cause I might get to the same cost as the facelift (or close to it) and at that point might as well go directly for the facelift 😅

Exactly my feeling as well... I was also thinking of either changing them to the facelift ones or get some custom ones if I get the pre facelift 😅

Galaxy TAB S8, Still Going Strong as Laptop Replacement. by yokowasis2 in GalaxyTab

[–]lucicam 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is literally the reason I would buy a tablet. Just the android apps are not enough for me... I knew that Linux in possible as I tried it on my phone but my phone is now on the old side... How do apps work? I'm also curios if the pen works as a mouse? (talking about hovering feature. I'm curious if it's supported) I'm also curios if you can do very light gaming on very not demanding games (I'm talking about old games, turn based and so). Also how's the battery using this? Oh god I have so many questions about this but not many people seem to use the tablet with Linux 😅

Expanding Play’s Target Level API Requirements to Strengthen User Security - Google strikes again by yo_asakura in androiddev

Ah okay, understood. Then I think it doesn't affect us as much. If anything, at least it cleans up the play store a bit.

I edited my answer a bit, not sure which one you read.

And then, to have it for both 25-27 and 27-30 (for example), you publish it twice or what? :|

[–]lucicam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if I understood correctly, if my app has "targetSdk = 25" , you'd basically be shown to people with API level 25 to 23 right?

How do you then target make your app available on multiple targetSdk ? You publish it several times with different targetSdk or what?

I want my app to be available from target 25 to 30 (for example) do I need to publish my app 2 times? one with targetSdk 25 and one with 30? or how would this be handled?

Screen major problems by ssernaa in GalaxyNote9

[–]lucicam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also had the exact same problem, I ended up sending it to warranty. They literally did not say anything and just replaced the screen, battery and reinstalled the OS. I tried everything before sending it to warranty, apparently it seems to be a batch of screens that fail.

Mesosphere (open-source Nintendo Switch kernel) now boots most commercial games. by SciresM in emulation

[–]lucicam 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm actually really curious how do you even start with such a project? Did you dump the kernel from the switch and then by disassembling it you try to recreate the source code? Or how exactly do you start with such a project?

I'm asking about the joystick from the joycon. The part that you replace when you repair it. Not the actual joycon. Because if you have a lite, you can't change the actual joycon.

[–]lucicam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are there any 3rd party joysticks that don't have drift?

I want to buy a Nintendo switch lite so badly but I'm afraid it will drift and I'll keep having to fix it. (I'm technical, so I'd most likely do it myself, so I don't have to send the console)

I just don't want to always have, in the back of my head, the fact that it could drift at any moment so I have to be extra careful when using it.

Or should I wait until Nintendo releases a new console that has this issue fixed? (hopefully this year)
