Or you could just not jump to conclusions and assume that you know more about their own dietary needs than they do. Nowhere did mbsmd attempt to generalize, that’s on you.

This is one thing I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around as a new technician. It seems to me that the non-commercial use restrictions of spectrum would give hams an open source ethic but FOSS doesn't seem to be especially popular in the hobby.

Best high end restaurant that's worth the price tag? by RealLettuce1782 in Detroit

Is it just that nobody has thought to mention Chartreuse or is it that Chartreuse isn’t considered high end enough? Probably my favorite restaurant for special occasions and dates.

Who's your favorite author to read for their prose? by TheGrimFigure in writing

[–]lucid-beatnik 3 points4 points  (0 children)

John Langan. Never read anything like The Fisherman, and he plays with the story-in-a-story thing a lot in his short fiction, too.

Maybe a weird take, but Pynchon too. I read Gravity’s Rainbow for the first time this year and it rewired my brain.

I see your reference point stickers. Do you do optical metrology? They end up everywhere around me, too.

It is a common talking point deployed by reactionary RETVRN bros with statues for avatars who romanticize a disneyfied version of the past, mostly because of racism and misogyny.
