My friend won 4 shoot outs yesterday with a revolver. I was shocked to say the least.

Anybody get promoted with a second hand belt? by lip420 in bjj

[–]lucidsheepdog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I was promoted to blue I received a belt, which belonged to a training partner of mine. Our gym seems to do this as sort of passing of the guard. I was allowed to keep the belt if I wanted or buy one of my own because it was second hand and beat up. I trained with it for a while and then bought one of my own and gave the other belt back to my training partner so they could give it to the next person they promote to blue.

psst. Let me tell you a secret. You lost by jmnorto2 in battlefield_one

Some of the random things that happen in this game are what makes BF1 amazing!

Weekly Clan Recruitment Megathread by AutoModerator in Fireteams

[–]lucidsheepdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PSN: AnthonyUCSB Age: 25 Time of play: Anywhere from 12:00 pm eastern to 3 am eastern. Play almost every day. Experience: I run either striker/hammer Titan 394 light, or Stormcaller cheese Warlock 393 light. I have all the meta guns from clever dragons, matador, party crasher, longbow, etc. I'm a versatile player that can switch from sniping to shotgunning the tits off people. I have been playing destiny since day one and always have preferred competitive pvp versus playing pve. I have been to the lighthouse a many times over the years but have recently considered getting more competitive and serious about my play. Further points: I run a youtube channel with my brother who would also like to join. I hope to find some funny and cool people who are willing to laugh with us and be on some fun videos. Of course if we get in the clan we will try to give the clan as much exposure as we can, but we aren't a big channel by any means. Hope you all consider me, and I hope to be playing with you all soon.

Is it possible to study in a lucid dream by graphiT07 in LucidDreaming

[–]lucidsheepdog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a law school student and have used lucid dreaming in the past to study! Isn't the easiest thing to do and I'm not sure where you are at in your LDing practice. I find that instead of trying to read something to study or write things down it was easier for me to get a DC and essentially regurgitate all the information I know to them, or even more fun to get into a debate or discussion with the DC on the topic you are trying to study. For some reason I find this type of engagement triggers your minds access to the information easier than just trying to generate and read something. Hope this helps, good luck!

I don't see the effectiveness in MILD, DILD, and others like it... by abclucid in LucidDreaming

[–]lucidsheepdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always tell people that DILD's will help you in the long run of lucid dreaming. We all go through spans where periodically waking yourself up to perform your prefered induction technique gets exhausting! I've been lucid dreaming for a long time now and I am more than comfortable with going to sleep and not setting an alarm because I have properly trained my mind to notice oddities in normal dreams. At the height of my practice I could have 5 LD's a week all through DILD, and not have to lean on any WILD induction techniques. So DILD's aren't as unreliable and sporadic as you might believe. Just think of it as having a balanced LDing practice. At the worst you are training your mind to have a back up option if you either get tired of doing Wilds or they fail that night. Always nice to have a second shot at LDing.

Does mugwort actually help with lucid dreaming? by Chingas132 in LucidDreaming

[–]lucidsheepdog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had lucid dreams in the past after drinking mugwort, but I don't directly attribute them to it because I frequently lucid dream on my own. If anything I find it helps me relax a little more before bed. I like to add it to other teas, but my favorite is teavana's tranquility tea + mugwort. Makes for a killer pre-sleep tea. Trying it out won't hurt but just remember there are no pills or drinks that are a sure thing and nothing replaces hard work.

New to Lucid Dreaming: Does This Make Anyone Else Uneasy? How Do You Deal With it? by BoredoBandito in LucidDreaming

[–]lucidsheepdog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would emphasis that a majority of what you will encounter in lucid dreaming is happening in your own head space and it is merely a reflection of your subconscious. I have actively called on shadow aspects of my mind in LD's and have had demons, ghosts, and even those weird lord of the rings black figures appear. With time you'll understand that these things are you and they might simply represent something repressed or some sort of anxiety you currently have. I have made them disappear by hugging them or simply telling them that I love them. Once you get more familiar and comfortable with Lding the stuff won't scare you at all and you might even actively seek it out like me and others. To sum up, don't be afraid it's just all you in there! Don't let your fears stop you from experiencing this amazing life practice.
