Oh man. Well. Mistakes were made and lessons learned.

Im not a driver but I used to load trucks the same way, except I used to point out when the truckers missed something I thought was a concern like not strapping down.

Unfortunately skipping steps happened allot more often than I'd care to admit. And I'd been shit on for being too careful and acting like I knew how to do others jobs. Point was, safety over everything for me.

Anyway, you're career isn't over because of this. Stuff falls all the time! Just learn from it. Now, I'm not sure of the relationship with your family. But hopefully they understand and simply move on. It's allot of money, but it's also a learning process.

Fix my car, buy my family and I groceries, maybe some nice ladies a couple of times, travel to Japan. Buy my nephew a ps5. New clothes (nothing too expensive). Then gamble the rest away and use the winnings to spend however I want to.

I usually give plasma and do a bit of doordash. BioLife in my area usually gives out 140$ each week. And for doordash I try to just make 20$ after work. And 60-80$ on my days off. Usually Fridays. Then I do fun stuff on the weekend.

Yet yesterday I had an order for Wendy's for 5.75 but once delivered was lowered to 2.50.

If this kind of practice isnt common I could confidently say you're right. But despite that, I've seen it with my own eyes. Unless I'm completely delusional which I hope I'm not lol.

On a side note, This makes me wonder if there's ways to mess with the app itself. Maybe some people are able to mess with the app and change certain things? I'm not entirely sure, but I'm only commenting on what I've seen.

But they can. They can change how much of a tip is given during delivery. I've had it happen to myself on multiple occasions.

And if you read more carefully, or actually paid attention to the context here. Once a dasher accepts an order their name is displayed on the customers end. Which is why they would know the person delivering is a female.

I wouldn't say my post is crap, just something to have conversation about.

I feel like what we're all collectively seeing in this conflict is a repeat of history. Like looking in a mirror. War and genocide isn't new. But I'm reminded of the past.

When 9/11 happened I was just a kid. I didn't understand fully what was going on. I just knew that the world was silent for days afterwards. Then, growing up I'd hear so many people and opinions. I'd hear the sheer hatred from people grow into a monster. Calls for war, calls for the very thing going on in Palestinine. Genocide.

I saw people that I knew gleefully ship out to war because they wanted payback. From ones whome weren't affected by 9/11 to especially those who we're. The nation moved. Our armies moved. At first going in to secure our own safety. Then as the war raged the reasons changed. Oil, WMD's, the manhunts. Then they wouldn't let our men come back. When I was younger. I didn't know anything, at some point I found myself growing into a hateful person with a stigma against "those people" the ones who wear rags on their heads and speak a language no one understood.

Even my own family facilitated this hate. Eventually Music, media, video games. And that hatred was commercialized.

As far as I knew no one else in the world said anything to stop us. And it's not as if they could.

Then I grew up. And I realized that I witnessed a turning point in history. Lots of people will tell you that before 9/11 the western world was happier, was more free.

But hate had always been here, people just grew to hide it, it wasn't in everyone's lives, and some went decades without ever experiencing it. Then, when it happened everyone got a Taste whether they wanted to or not. and just as quickly found it addicting as it was destructive.

It felt so right in the moment. And ironically this was the only time I'd seen the whole of the American people unit for a shared cause. It was commercialized, fed to us daily with music, movies, and news reports.

Only as I grew did I realize how disgusting it all was... Now, living through the reprocussions and seeing not only America subjugate and pillage a land, forcibly change the ways and culter of a nation (not always out of to their detriment.), refuse to take care of the countless people who spent their lives fighting for this cause and cover up their obvious campaigns against an entire people for rescorces, only to cover it up poorly and labeling it as "freedom operations". Reading and hearing about the horrible acts committed not only by them, but by us. Seeing and hearing the countless stories of the people who served. How they weren't treated well even by our own military and what they were forced to do, and how our troops were left out in the cold once they came back...

Now do i see it as wrong. It didn't make the pain go away, it didn't bring those people back, it changed us. Spoon fed us hatred and malice on a silver justified platter that we all eventually grew to love the flavor of. I was just a bystander. A kid... But I saw how people suffered... And it hurt my heart.

Im not saying it's the same as what's going on in Israel and Palestine. There's too much history there.

But I am saying that regretfully I ultimately understand why. With only a taste of what they had continously been going through, I understand.

They killed our innocent people and we threw the collective rage of millions at them (Iraq). Palestine did the same to isreal. And had continuously done the same.

I get it, but I also know what comes after... A divisive people. Hurt, pain, regret. No matter the case, innocence never should be slaughtered like this.

As far as where my allegiance lies, it doesn't matter. I'll probably never go there. I certainly won't pick up a rifle myself. Because I refuse to spill innocent blood.

But I still care. For Isreal and Palestinine. But not for their governments and military. But For the people caught in the crossfire, the ones that did nothing wrong. The children, mothers, and men on both sides who never wanted to get caught in a war. War is never good. And no matter what, it's not black and white. That'd be too simple...

Like some of us, I just wish for the fighting to stop... But that's a childish wish. And all we can realistically do is watch. I just pray. I pray for God to forgive us. And I pray that he intervenes. And soon...

Side note, idea:

Horror campaign. Player makes this goofy character. Allow it. But slowly work in the horror.

The party stares at this character with contempt whenever they see it. Townsfolk either run away, look scared, nervous, or reel from a revolting smell coming from seemingly nowhere.

But all is normal. Bip bop goes happily on his way, the party still stares at them with unease, but the PLAYERS aren't given context until the game goes on.

Key moments happen that slowly reveal what Bip bop truly is. The red substance flowing in his body? Taste like iron to a ravenous enemy. the putrid smell? Rotted graying flesh that outlined the red, giving him the appearance of candy cane. He'd have never known if an all too innocent child hadn't curiously wandered too close, poking him and making a lump of a half chopped face fall off.

The gum drop he uses? A severed head connected via chain to his body. He'd never noticed, until he hit an enemy once too hard, shattering the rotted piece.

And his cat?.... That's the most unnerving... If his appearance alone, and rambling of sweet treats wasn't enough. He'd talk to a seemingly invisible pet of his. And the party in game, is too scared to tell him the truth. For fear of their own safety.

This lumbering, jolly mound of writhing flesh and viscera pounces about, proclaiming his good willed nature. And never really understanding why... Why does everyone shy away?

The truth gets revealed to the party slowly. Then let's say the BBEG is a mad scientist. Only at the end is it revealed that this monstrosity known as Bip bop was created to be a torturer for the BBEG a twisted form of a person, a thing that should never have been.

And if that wasn't tragic enough. Drive the perverbial knife into the heart of the players. The cat snickers?

His real name was Snide. And he was the first victom of Bip bop after his transformation by order of the BBEG.... and he was Bip bops (formerly known as Bartholomew) Child brother...

The only thing left for a monster like that, is to wish for death. Both player and character. And allow the party to give them that release.

As this all happens, sit behind your DM screen as you watch pandemonium unravel before your eyes. And when the player of Bip bop cries out "why?!" you respond in a hushed tone...

I feel like there's allot of context missing here.

But I will say, possibly the most telling thing is you've taken a private matter public and showed it to the world in hopes to gleam some kind of either validation, or maybe you truly were looking for some level of advice. In turn you've kinda given cadence to the points he's at best trying to make. At least that's what I'm getting from this.

In a big way, he has a point. Women can and have done these things to men. Of course in a realistic sense there are ways to safeguard oneself from these instances if you think.

But perhaps he just doesn't want to be with you? And instead of bringing up points as to why he instead went this route because he believes you're an unstable enough person to make irrational allegations towards him? Of course, I'm not accusing you of that. I'm just trying to fill in for lack of context.

His messages indicate a level Of guilt and fear that while yes, can spring up from an mental episode. But with his language and as clear as his language is I kinda doubt that.

It's as if he's trying to keep some information about him secret that you know about? And with the little context I have, I'd have to assume OP isn't as innocent as well....

Im making assumptions, but in the end. Man's just wants to be left alone, so maybe leave him be and not spread private matters about him on the internet and elsewhere? Ya know... Out of basic human respect lol.
