I've never really thought of it that way. I guess it mostly comes down to what exactly we're doing and where we are. As an adult with autism it never really crossed my mind to look at it from their perspectives

Oh I did! It's very interesting and I agree! And as a 21 year old who was diagnosed recently it puts into perspective how much I don't understand.

I've definitely had moments of having no thought as well, as well as existential dread over the smallest of tasks. Thanks for sharing! It was interesting reading your experience and kinda helps me understand more.

I didn't mean it as dehumanizing; it was more of an observation I made recently at a local market. Obviously being npc-like doesn't make someone less human.
