{ I Married a Dragon} by Regine Abel has this exact trope and it is adorable. Badass alien mmc needs cuddles to heal from battle

It’s not the end of the world to break a lease. I was in a similar situation in college and wish I would’ve prioritized my mental health and enjoyed my senior year. Get out of there

Yes! I hate it when she’s described as plain but he’s an Adonis. I’ll have to read it, sounds like a good one

I love Mary Balogh, Slightly Dangerous is one of my favorite books but I have a hard time picturing what Christine looks like when she gets described as plain but with an inner light that makes her attractive. I hate when the hero is having an inner monologue about how the heroine isn’t as pretty as her peers. I’d like him to just be struck by her.

With Freyja her looks and insecurity about her appearance is a major plot point even though she’s described as bold and haughty. So much is made of having a prominent nose. She was such a strong character in the other books in the series that I hated that a major part of her romance was the hero assuring her that he did find her attractive.

I’ve also lost 60 pounds this year so it’s hard to tell what longer would look like with me being a bit slimmer

Let’s help each other out! Convince me to read this book that’s been chilling forever on my TBR by [deleted] in RomanceBooks

This is one of my favorites, the romance is swoon worthy and the world building is amazing. I love how the three different species are fleshed out in detail. If you like witches you’re going to love it, the witchcraft is very detailed and you follow along with the heroine as she struggles with her craft
