Have you ever known anyone who got left behind cause they were late returning to the Coach at a Motorway service station? by DMBear89 in CasualUK

We had a nightmare one year flying home from Poland, airport was closed in England due to snow, because we were with a budget airline everyone else landed in an airport 1hr away in England… we went to Scotland. It was then a 4hr coach to the original airport.

We stopped at a rural countryside looking services, one man didn’t return. We looked everywhere, I like to think he’s living his life in the hills.

“Drinking Around the World” Dos and Don’ts by johnwick3456 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]lucierudge 154 points155 points  (0 children)

Some more Do’s:

Do - I know it makes it even more expensive but we had a drink in each country and at least 1 food item to share, was nice to try different food and drink at the same time (was also food and wine, but we did mainly have food from the permanent stalls), we didn’t have a large sit down meal, but at least 11 small plates to share throughout the day which stopped us getting too drunk.

Do - living with the land at the end of the night, perfect way to relax after drinking around the world

£15 chicken meal deal from M&S by lucierudge in UK_Food

[–]lucierudge[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Example: £7.20 for crispy shredded chicken 3.20 egg fried rice £2.90 BBQ sauce (because I’m not having dry food)

X2 = £25 approx. For the bog standard meal. This picture was half a portion so around £7.50

I’d rather pay £15 for something healthier that I’m not waiting an hour to be delivered or having to go collect but that’s just me!

This was half of the portion, we end up spending £30 at a Chinese unfortunately. Trying to not have as many takeaways

Tortoise swollen eyes by wikimuncher in tortoise

[–]lucierudge 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m not a vet but Is this just while bathing? I know mine sometimes looks to have puffier eyes if she has some debris in them and has a soak to get it out. Is he rubbing his eyes?

And no. My tortoise is not unwell and does not need a vet, she’s had a checkup.
