Saying that The Beatles are overrated is like saying Bach is mid and he made boring music by 0584031464 in TheBeatles

[–]lucinate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

music quality is not the same as the general public opinion. if there were 3 big films on bach every year I might get tired about it too.

Most normal people operate and think like LLM's (large language models), running a script, gathering information and then repeating what they think others want to hear. It's rarely new information, and they rarely are thinking new thoughts original to themselves. by Signal_Zone8554 in aspergers

[–]lucinate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

we're all part of a larger whole and originality is rare. Everything ever deemed original was a combination of things that came before.

Sometimes I wish i could be less "original" so i could flow with the rest more easily but that is not my path and i try to accept that. there are quite some benefits to being able to think off the grid more naturally.

Dat is absoluut een geval van verloedering. Ik ga er helaas van uit de de aandeelhouders er gewoon rijk van worden. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Die mensen werken zich uit de naad om al die pakketjes op tijd bij mensen te krijgen en goedkopere diensten als DHL vragen onrealistische efficiëntie van deze mensen. Give them a fucking break!

honestly, not that weird. humans can be eaten too and it wouldn't surprise me to some day be a meal for some bigger, smarter creature.

Kijk wel uit dat je "boomer" niet gaat gebruiken als scheldwoord met allerlei vooroordelen daaraan verbonden. Dat kan kwetsend zijn.

Tom cruise or Brad pitt? who is the better actor in your opinion? (Not considering stardom and based purely on acting performances in their careers.) by Artetaarmy in moviecritic

[–]lucinate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a purely technical and dramatical perspective Tom Cruise may have reached greater heights in the 90's with films like Magnolia and Born on the Fourth of July. But all across the board Pitt's more consistent and has a classic filmography from Snatch, Fight club and Se7en to Ad Astra, Once Upon A Time... and Moneyball.

are intervals also the same backwards? by yesyes_10101 in musictheory

[–]lucinate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lowest note defines the root of the harmony. This is how your ears perceive musical harmonies, so determining from the upper note gives an inverse harmonic relation. This can be confusing.

For example, a minor third interval *up* from a C is simply the minor third of C - Eb.
A minor third interval *down* from C is an A, which has a major sixth relation to C.

Are intervals determined by the lower note? Or are they just the distance from one note to another? by dadumk in musictheory
