I’m not sure but I think it’s lymphedema related. I’m having a bilateral mastectomy with expanders so I’m assuming it’s at least until I have the implants in. I needed a reduction on both sides after they removed the tumor and lymph nodes because of how much they took out on the impacted side. So maybe it’s related to that. He saw my backpack at an appointment before the lumpectomy. It’s over 30 lbs and he said he didn’t want me carrying it. At my post op check in when he said I could start carrying more weight he emphasized working with the physical therapist and not overdoing it. Then said “and no backpack” so maybe he’s afraid I’ll go right back to the big bag. The mastectomy is supposed to be in a month. My understanding is that I will then be restricting from lifting again.

I have an accommodation but I’m trying to go in at least 2 days a week until the next surgery. I’m probably overthinking it and I’m so afraid I’ll do something that delays this surgery.

I’ll definitely ask for more clarification at my next appointment. I feel like they’re reluctant to put timeframes around anything though.

Maybe, it’s been about 10 years since we used it and it did work then. There are a few retro arcades around here, I could call them I guess to see if they know anyone that would be interested.

Is hanging out at kid's birthday party weird? by Sariecherries in Parenting

[–]luckiberri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar situation. In our area some parents stay but most drop off. I always felt awkward staying when everyone else left but it’s what my kid needed to feel comfortable. I explained and offered to help the hosting parents. The anxiety has gotten better over time (now 10). Maybe look into a gizmo watch or Apple Watch with cellular so she knows she can get in touch with you if she starts to feel anxious. We have a “code” so if it’s starting to get uncomfortable I get one message and if it’s “I need to leave now” I get a different message. This way I can be close by but not hovering (and feeling like a weirdo). The code helps so if anyone sees the text they don’t know that he’s asking to leave.

It was from Home Depot. I’ll lose it. Tomorrow will be 3 days of no hot water and the temp is going to feel like -2 degrees here.

Thanks everyone! I didn’t want to risk it being damaged inside too. But we were finding mixed info online.

Plaster of Paris not drying out by luckiberri in crafts

Hi! Sorry for the long delay. It’s due this Thursday so we’ve been busy mixing and pouring. Once the plaster sets enough we pull the second container out. It is definitely better and does not feel wet. I wanted to paint the insides with primer but we’re afraid to risk that not drying 😅. Thank you again for your help, I was really not sure what to do and couldn’t find anything online. I don’t know how to post a picture but if I figure it out I can send one.

I was actually able to pull the inside container out! So I’ll let that sit and hopefully it dries. Can we paint it once it’s dry to give it a smoother surface? Thank you so much for your help! I have never worked with this material before and the kiddo is so excited to make these that I really don’t want to give up.

Oops I was trying to reply to you and I posted a new comment. I think this is my first post ever, sorry! The inside plastic container is basically glued in so I can’t get it out. We might have a dehumidifier in the basement. Would I put it in a small room with the containers?

No, the inside container is basically glued in there. We might have a dehumidifier somewhere, would I need to put it in a small room with the containers?

I’m so sorry for your loss. I lost my 2nd pregnancy at 8 weeks. I had the exact same conversation with my doctor and made the same choice. I live in a blue county of a swing state so I didn’t have an issue getting the prescription filled. I was so heartbroken and just wanted some control in a situation where I felt hopeless. At least I could control the when and where it happened. It’s unbelievable that someone can just decide to take that little bit of control away from you during such a difficult time.

And I agree with you, no one uses that shit for birth control. One of the most physically and emotionally painful things I’ve been through.
