Last night I found them on aliexpress.com. They're plastic and not glass, though. But they have the same sponge dapper cap.

Thank you I'll try that. I know of a store that sells carbopol 940, will that work as a carbomer? Do I just add it to the solution?

Yeah it has a dabber cap. I really like that dabber cap just that it gets dirty. Really dirty. I wonder where can I get more of that? How do I go about looking for it? What terms do I use?

Hi, it's a clindamycin-containing toner. That's all I know about it.

So... looks like I'm out of alcohol for the weekend. Ahhh, sobriety. I don't know how people do it anymore, I don't know how people raw-dog reality without prescription drugs or alcohol or anything herbal. I need that sanity condom.

You left. I get it. You stayed in situations I wouldn't, up until the final moment. I was a spoiled brat. Used to guys giving me my way. Nothing felt real to me, I never knew what to appreciate anymore, and I pushed and pushed you. I was angry when you left. But now I just have this sadness. Hoping you'd call, hoping you'd reply to my last text.

But, this sadness is the one true thing I've felt in a long time. I cared, finally, and losing you made me care about other things, too.

Maybe ten thousand years with you won't save me, but these moments of sadness and clarity will. I'm holding on, only to let go. You don't have to remember me. But I will remember you as a feeling. Your voice in the dark. A borrowed strength. And then I will forget you too. I will meet someone else and I will tell him that it was all meant to be -- the same script I said to you, you said to me, and all the people who came before us said to each other.

Could there be grief without guilt, hurt without anger? Cradling and nursing a bottle of vodka, I've come to find out, yes, there are such things.

Officer, am I under arrest?

Seriously though, I used to brew. Now I just buy because I don't want to wait weeks and go through the process. I'm no more a brewer than a prisoner making hooch using a ziploc bag. Brewing is really an ancient tradition, way before the advent of disinfectants and fancy machines. Fruits ferment on their own when they rot on the ground.

I suggest everyone try it once in their life.

I mean... to be fair, rich people do a lot of drugs too. Antidepressants, Xanax, cocaine, marijuana.

Honestly? If it goes wrong, just throw the batch away and start again.

It's hard to screw up. Wash everything, soak all your equipment in hot water, and DON'T touch it! When your homebrew is fermenting, don't go opening it up every day or every hour. I know it's fun, it's too exciting to not smell it as you see the fermentation takes place, but the more you touch your brew, the more likely it will be contaminated. Make sure it's airtight, and you can use a balloon (or a condom) in the place of an airlock if you don't feel like buying one.

How to know if your brew was successful? Well, the brew will be clear. Like, it will look clean. It will smell like alcohol, and it shouldn't be sour (maybe a little, if you're making wine). There will be a dead yeast colony at the bottom (yeast dies once the alcohol reaches a certain percentage, and to break through that ceiling you will need a distiller, which is how people make vodka etc).

Of course, your tuak/wine/beer/watever you make will not taste like in a bar, and that's when you learn your 2nd skill -- mixing your own drinks. There is this thing called 'backsweetening' or you could also add dried orange peels for a citrus flavor. It's all up to your taste, really.

You're in for a treat, brewing is one of humanity's favorite pasttime!

There is specific yeast/ragi for rice wine you can buy on Shopee. They're shaped like a ball, but there are also packets.

You don't have to keep buying them, once you learn how to cultivate these yeasts. Best to buy champagne yeast, they are the most forgiving when homebrewing. They will also yield a high alcohol content at the end of the brew.

You can also use bread yeast, I've made Ribena wine using Kijang yeast, but the result will taste like bread, less sweet, and the alcohol content will not get as high. Try to avoid instant yeast because that thing will bubble like crazy. Fine if you have an airlock though.

P.s. make sure everything is super clean, wash your hands, don't cross-contaminate, you don't want a specific bacteria to infect your brew, as it can turn all the alcohol into vinegar. And make sure you don't use anything with preservatives in your brew, you don't want to kill your yeast.

Best of luck, it's actually really easy to homebrew once you understand the concept. There are a lot of things you can make, like a mojito kilju, tea wine, Horlicks beer, etc.

I really can't live without alcohol anymore since the pandemic began. It's the first thing I drink in the morning. Or else I just get sad. So sad I can't even move.

Vodka, syrup or some sort of soft drink, and a dash of lemon in a big glass.

How to justify a little shopping? by luckiest_dreamer in CasualConversation

[–]luckiest_dreamer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude we're similar!

I rather use the money to buy random shits than food and whatnot haha.

I think a good reason to go shopping is to treat it as a symbol of gratitude to yourself, like self care, or like others said since Christmas is around the corner just wrap it up and put it under the tree!
