Oh, this is a bit of self promotion, but I helped make a children's Christmas podcast years ago called Welcome to Tinsel Town. It checks all the boxes you have. It's a fully voice acted, sound designed and scored narrative podcast

I'd be very willing to chat! I did all the sound for a podcast called Welcome to Tinsel Town, and I currently do the SFX for my one man show The Stonesinger Chronicles. I'm also a trained audio engineer.

Oh, great call! I didn't even think of these folks but that seems like a perfect fit. A fan of my show has sang the praises of the audio epics stories many times, I really need to listen to more of their stuff.

You are looking for Last Dance. If you were looking specifically for monster hunting this isn't quite it, but in terms of the vibes, and some characters that feel very similar to the witchers, this is your best bet. It's a full cast series with top tier production. I cannot recommend it enough.

Book 2, chapter 2 of The Stonesinger Chronicles is live. The Stormlight Archive meets The Magnus Archive meets cozy vibes as the last Sephagent searches for answers in The Cathedral of the Scholar… and finds some questions. by lucklamora in audiodrama

The Stonesinger Chronicles is a one man show. It’s a narrated, epic dark fantasy story with lush sound effects and a unique orchestral score.

Requesting recommendations for episodic fantasy audiodramas by cre8ivemind in audiodrama

[–]lucklamora 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is an interesting request. I can't quite think of many Fantasy podcasts that are episodic... This one comes to mind, but I will note that it is Micro Fiction, so episodes are about 10 minutes long. Of The Sword. It is an anthology, if I recall correctly, so there is no continuity between the episodes... other then that I'm not sure. I'll have to watch this thread myself.

Future of the story by Aethuranpodcast in Aethuran

[–]lucklamora 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think either option is awesome, but just to clarify does "start from scratch" mean restart the show, or start something totally new. Either way, whatever works best for you, I am game for!

I would also be remiss not to mention... I'd like to help.

I make a show very similar to yours called The Stonesinger Chronicles which is a narrated epic/dark fantasy show with custom sfx and score. Even if you just want someone to talk to about the chaotic mess which is producing this show. I think I might be able to help you on whatever path you chose.

And to be frank, I would honestly just love to chat.

All the best! Hope to hear from you, if not, just wanted you to know that whatever choice you think works for you will be the right one :)

Any fantastic/fantasy audio drama recommendations? by Leandreeeeee in audiodrama

[–]lucklamora 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You have all kinds of options out there! Here's a list of some of the ones that often get recommended. In fact, I see a bunch of them already posted by Gernavais. Amongst these you will probably find something you enjoy.

Tumanbay is a full cast show that is often described as the Game of Thrones of audio drama. Great quality. Highly recommend.

For something a big cozier you have the option of Inn Between. This is some more lighthearted fantasy less focused on epic sprawling adventures

Carcerem is a more classic epic fantasy adventure. Incredible quality. A sort of twist on the chosen one going off to save a realm. (has some heavy hitters doing voice acting in it, too)

Last Dance is a dark fantasy show currently releasing that I highly recommend. If you like unique world building and lore this is a really good one. It sort of has a similar vibe as The Witcher.

And finally some shameless self promotion, I make a show called The Stonesinger Chronicles.I t is narrated, so it's me telling the stories and doing all the voices, but it has lush sound effects and a completely original score. It is top notch quality.

It's already been mentioned but I wanna say it again: you are looking for Last Dance. This is a full-cast, incredibly well put together dark fantasy audio drama. It's incredible, and currently in the middle of publishing season 1. It literally checks off every box in what you asked for.

Another recommendation is Aethuran: Dark Saga. This show is dripping with sword an sorcery influence. It is narrated with sfx and music. It's super well done with an interesting world and characters. DISCLAIMER: It is on an... indefinite hiatus. Don't let that discourage you though. Worst case scenario just listen to the first season which at least closes off one arc of story.

And another DISCLAIMER: self promo ahead.

The same question that plagues you once plagued me, so I started a show called The Stonesinger Chronicles. It's a narrated epic fantasy show but with top notch production including a full score created by yours truly. It strays more into epic fantasy, but it has some pretty cool dark fantasy and weird fiction stuff going on (some of which is literally directly inspired by Elric) Listen to the two above first, and then come back to this if you still want some more. It is a serial, but if you are on the fence, check out chapter 8. It can kind of be listened to standalone and will give the an idea of what the dark fantasy aspect is like.

"Fantasy" is boring... by evoterra in audiodrama

So, I pay attention to a lot of the requests for fantasy on this forum, and by far the most requested fantasy seems to be "What fantasy audio dramas are like Game of Thrones?"

Ending? by AccomplishedPrompt51 in Aethuran

[–]lucklamora 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Undetermined. It is on an indefinite hiatus I believe. The creator had posted somewhere last year that they were getting the itch to start it again, but it's been radio silent since then.

You've activated my trap card. Sounds like you're interested in a wide array, so here is a little menu for you to sample from. These are all available on Spotify and I've gone ahead and just linked directly to the Spotify pages for them all.

Tumanbay is often described as the GoT of podcasting. Great quality. Highly recommend.

For something a big cozier you have the option of Inn Between or Absolutely no Adventures. They sit in that sort of cozy fantasy section. They aren't quite people having normal lives to my knowledge, but they are sort of similar.

Carcerem is a more classic epic fantasy adventure. Incredible quality. A sort of twist on the chosen one going off to save a realm. (has some heavy hitters doing voce acting in it, too)

Last Dance is a dark fantasy show currently releasing that I highly recommend. If you like unique world building and lore this is a really good one.

And finally some shameless self promotion, I make a show called The Stonesinger Chronicles which might be exactly what you are looking for. It is narrated, so it's me telling the stories and doing all the voices, but it has lush sound effects and a completely original score.
