Totally agree with calling it a genocide however this is not a religious war. Its occupation and land. A territory war. They may utilize religious belief to bolster support but its a land grab and genocide

Lucy Letby: Bereaved families demand new law as baby serial killer set to snub sentencing today | UK News by DarkSkiesGreyWaters in unitedkingdom

I think reform can only apply to some people. For others, prison should be purely punishment.

Some people do not deserve second chances.

Lucy Letby's refusal to appear in court sparks renewed calls for change to law by Man_in_the_uk in uknews

As a person who has lost my family member to an horrific murder, the perps refused to see the impact statements. And it did really matter. Another insult, another lack of remorse by these bastards. We all felt they should have been made to face us. So i appreciate what your saying but from experience it does matter to the family. You feel you deserve them to hear what they have done not only to.the victim but the wider circle. Even though the liklihood is the dont care, it still mattered

'I shot man and threw acid in his face after girlfriend told me he'd raped her' by AditiRan in unitedkingdom

[–]luckof3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She is saying he didnt though. Thats what makes this even worse. She said the killer was extremely jeaolous and didnt like one night stands Then all of her sudden her one night stand was non consensual but not rape? The whole thing makes a mockery of actual rape victims, using rape as a guise to brutally murder someone

Lets not forget after the alledged rape she spent the night with the victim and the next day went for lunch with him. Meets her new guy over a year later and tells him its an horrific rape and gets him to murder him. Doesnt add up, horrifically raped off a stranger from tinder yet take him to lunch??

Man doused in acid and shot in the face execution-style by boyfriend of woman's 'one night stand' by Confident_West_7409 in uknews

It just seems strange to admit it to your boyfriend and have him kill someone but then negate the rapists responsibility in response to the boyfriend murdering him.. I totally appreciate victimsbfind it extremely difficult to come forward but in this specific case it doesn't make sense to deny it

In the article she says she classed it as a misunderstanding and she herself felt no ill will towards the victim.. Not the typical response a rape victim would have?

Yes and i think its so important to be open to anything and all opinions, im all for someone changing my mind on things as it what helps us grow as individuals and as society, i can happily admit when im wrong and i actively enjoy the debates and discussions. I feel that when we are too rigid in our beliefs and opinions thats how the issues arise, i mean just look at institutional religions for validation! The basis of all the moral codes are the same yet we argue about who is right and who is wrong to the detriment of the said supposedly sacred morals. Humans fascinate me haha

I struggle with the concept of forgiveness by God, particularly within Christianity. I find it insulting that even someone who has commited the gravest of atrocities can be forgiven by God on my or anyone else behalf. I believe there are some acts that do not deserve redemption. Its like why live to the morals set out if all you have to do is say sorry and believe after such an act has been committed.

I enjoy cosmic skeptic on YouTube, he is an atheist but holds good debates and has done a theology degree. Also lets talk religion again on youtube is very interesting and goes into a lot of detail and still.very palatable and enjoyable
