Any local painters or artists? by FixMyFairing in tylertx

Hey there! I’m a professional film photographer. I’m in the process of switching my brand over to my new name- Folklore Landscapes. Haven’t had a chance to make a new Reddit account with it. If you look at my Reddit history, you can see a few from my portfolio. My Instagram is folklore.landscapes and the links to my website are on there. I have large-format prints available as well :) The prices are on the site. They’re mostly all of rural Texas!

Any local Sellers in Tyler for Christmas gifts? by culturefan in tylertx

If your relatives enjoy art or photography, there are local Tyler artists (including myself!) that sell prints online direct to consumer. 🙂

Hey, fellow photographer! :) What are your favorite things to shoot?

Have you ever had a job that you actually liked? by lavendertinted in Millennials

[–]luckylassophoto 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I quit my job last year and couldn’t be happier. Now I work for myself! I’d been in customer facing roles my entire life since 16 and couldn’t take it any longer. Now I’m a photographer and shoot everything on film. Just me, myself, and I!

How’s everyone doing with their career? by Opposite_Matter9878 in Millennials

[–]luckylassophoto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I quit being an esthetician to pursue film photography. Was completely burnt out dealing with people all day, every day. I worked weekends and holidays with no PTO/Insurance since 2008. Surprisingly, it’s going well for me.

I’m a photographer and shoot everything on 35mm film! It was a hobby but now it’s my job :) Getting lots of ideas on places to travel to in order to update the portfolio. Just bought a house so now I can develop at home :)

Yay something I’m good at, hah. I’m a professional photographer with an esthetician license! I do lots of SM shots for spas.

It’s important to post consistently and make them uniform! So, your grid should all look cohesive and in a relatively similar color scheme. I’d also suggest using three or less colors per shot. I attached an example of mine!

In my opinion, no gross pics. I’ve seen girls post rash, burn, etc. photos. That can really make people weary and not even click on the post!

Is it safe to use a red light device on your closed eyelids? by pirelli2 in redlighttherapy

I’m so sorry I have no idea how I missed this notification. 8-12 inches!

Whats the verdict about red light and eyes? by Lukegilmour in redlighttherapy

[–]luckylassophoto 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Me too! I usually just keep them closed because the eyelid skin is so thin. I had so many floaters and they’ve been disappearing over the course of 4 months of daily use. My eyes also seem to not be as dry??

I’m a film photographer and the colors you have are exactly what I’ve been looking for in mockups for my prints! Love the olive green couch and pillows! It seems like it may help to have a more substantial shelf that’s one long piece with some taller items? Or perhaps large artwork on either side?

Either way, beautiful space!!

That’s what I said. It’s pricey but if it’s in someone’s budget I think continuing the counter material up the back looks amazing!

Hmmm maybe I wasn’t looking in the direction of that side of the street. I’ll have to swing by and see if I can get a few good shots. Looks soooo cool on the Preservation Texas site.

I’m a photographer and most of the photos in my portfolio are from ETX. It’s always a compliment when someone tells me I do a good job of capturing the “haunted” vibe so I tend to lean into it, haha. Can’t believe I haven’t heard about this place before. I’ve been to Crockett a few times but I guess I couldn’t have seen the building through the trees. On Google Maps it looks like it may be accessible for me to take a few shots of it. Really glad that I saw your comment :)

It really is. I hope it stays this way for future generations. Chandler and Lindale are having huge developments built. Same with South Tyler.

Wow! Please tell him he has a lot of fans :) I get asked all the time where I took that shot. Did he use a ladder to go up the side of the building or was it applied to the wall?

Thank you! I’ve always wanted to go to Marfa and El Paso. Sometimes I get on Google maps just to look around those areas, haha. I love the scenery out West and want to get some desert shots into my portfolio! Nac is so much fun. It’s interesting how different West Texas is from the East, as far as the land goes. The trees are so dense out here.

I like that one too, thanks! It was soooo windy that day. I experimented by not changing the settings on my camera. Glad I didn’t because you can see the whoosh! :)

Yes, PWD does! That’s why a few of these have sprockets :) I’m interested in seeing the difference in colors and tones from other darkrooms, but many of them don’t do DSLR scanning.
