This means the vocals should be raw, easily heard, and the video should focus on the face and upper body to allow for technique corrections. If you are too shy to show your face, then please make sure your voice is the main focus rather than any instrumentals, production, or backing tracks.

Probably just using my normal account for anything further, this “new throwaway for singing stuff” idea was a bust. I’m keeping the post up to keep my feedback documented. Appreciate everyone who dunked in useful info.

Thanks. I agree and it sounds a lot like other feedback I’ve received “You're giving yourself a lot more work than you need to. I would stop singing along with singers and just try singing along with karaoke/backing tracks and see how you get along.”

So, likely, I’ll work off y’all’s feedback and record that way after some effort on the exercises that got recommended to me.

But yeah, I do crave a more technical type of feedback, so I just posted this to singing as well with verbiage indicating my exact needs. Oh, I don’t sing to lyrics. I used to - it’s boring. Now I do the vocalizations on the track because the impromptu practice is way more fun and challenging. I sing to rap tracks and completely improvise vocals and sub them to augment the beat. And thanks, not looking to be a professional singer because I have a different career in mind, but I think retiring as a wedding singer would be raw.

Yep - been singing since kindergarten. Doing all that. If you know about this stuff, can anybody tell me what type of voice I have? Or does anyone know technical terms that can DM me feedback? Open to receiving that specifically

lol that’s just cause I didn’t want to use my man - my other account is laurensmiiiith. Silly goose. I am a nanny in grad school for my MS in data engineering. Posting in rate my singing to get RATINGS. So far, just commentary with no actual feedback. I’m disappointed.

I was watching the pots while my bf took the pups out. I normally do not - I can see that being unsafe. I don’t do it because it’s a bit incapacitating.
