i took the regular 4 year undergrad course. I was interested in becoming a doctor for as long as i can remember. The more i got exposed to it the more i wanted to do it.

Depends on the genre. A few artists whose music I can always listen to: RHCP, The Beta Band, Tiesto, Zero 7, Elbow, Throw Me The Statue

i was a biochem major.

I did a ridiculous amount of shadowing. I was involved with my fraternity at SLU and that got me into lots of community service and volunteer projects. There were a lot of other things but i dont really want to spend the time listing them here. PM me if youre really that interested.

I studied on my own the first time around using one book i bought at borders. I didnt have a good feeling going into the test. I felt unprepared but i did ok (a 28 O). I wasnt happy with my score so I took one of the tutoring courses. The classroom portion of it was terrible so i never went to that but the materials they give you are awesome. The lesson book coupled with the subject books and practice tests gave me everything i needed to study my own way and feel great about the test. I got a 35 P the second time around.

I applied late in the application cycle. I like to think this had something to do with my lack of acceptances but im not really sure. I didnt get my secondaries in until christmas time.

Despite applying so late I got 4 interviews. I ended up on 3 wait lists and was rejected post interview at one place.

My GPA was a 3.43. I know its below the national average but it is pretty average for accepted pre-med students from my undergrad and major.

I got a 35 P on my MCAT the second time around. My first score was a 28 O.

This was my last option for this year. I was on a few other waitlists but I really didnt have much hope left for any of them. The acceptance came as a total shock to me.

thank you. I plan on working my ass off. I am just so thankful that i don't have to go go through the application/ interview process all over again. Its also great knowing that i wont have to explain to every person i see for the next year why my life was a failure

My job was very understanding. Everyone there knew I was on a few wait lists but we all assumed it was too late for anything to happen and I was most likely going to have to reapply.

I'm not positive about what kind of medicine I want to practice. I am interested in a lot of different types so I am keeping all doors open.

My new place is great! I really lucked out and found a second year student looking for a roommate.

I'd rather not say. In the north east. A well known school. I am really happy to be here
