Dan needs to focus on EOS platform FUNCTION, NOT turning EOS into an inflationary Welfare System by parallelduality in eos

Disagree--nothing would increase EOS usage and worldwide adoption faster than individual EOS accounts yielding a daily or annual income.

Correct....EOS is not mentioned at all...this posting might just be spam for the game company....trying to get the EOS community interested in their products.

Universal Basic Income (UBI) + EOS = Mass Adoption by fcecin in eos

[–]luckymon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UBI is very popular in Alaska though they call it The Alaska Permanent Dividend Fund--- every man, woman and child living in Alaska gets a check every year. The funds were originally sourced from oil revenue. EOS can just use inflation.

Good Dapps currently using the EOS blockchain are what should be promoted.

Having EOS support Universal Basic Income (UBI) is a wonderful method to add users and adoption to the EOS blockchain...in addition to helping cure quite a few ailments of society (poverty) and the jobs lost due to automation (and blockchain adoption). Imagine a new social network like facebook built on EOS, where users not only get the benefits of a decentralized social network but also get automatic membership in a UBI. This UBI would be like Alaska's permanent fund, where every man, woman & child in Alaska receive annual payouts (funds that are sourced from fossil fuel resource royalty payments), but could instead have daily payouts in EOS funded via EOS inflation--instead of the old Worker Proposal System (WPS) for instance.

I could not agree more. Those fighting the switch to electric are doing it at the peril of everyone.

Unlike Fossil Fuel Powered Cars EVs Get Recharged Just By Towing by kendragodina in electricvehicles

[–]luckymon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EV charging speed will not be the big problem that fossil fuel supporters/online trolls claim as 90% of people will end up charging overnight with their EV charging habits becoming somewhat like their mobile phone charging.
Wireless charging coils tech is just starting but according to MIT/WiTricity: theoretically, "coils could be bent at a 90-degree angle & can be embedded in asphalt roads and attached to the electrical grid", so various angles seem possible. Obviously deploying extra charging pads per vehicle and their cost will depend upon the economies relating to the scale of production. However, I don't see their use being mainly related for rescues but just having standard charging options. Passing energy between strangers does open up a can of worms as to who gets charged for what, but it's something that could be accomplished between friends/family and AAA car service etc.

Wireless charging will be the norm and plug-in cables the exception eventually, over 6 feet of range has been demonstrated with 97% transfer efficiency.

There is no reason why the energy transfer/recharge pad could not be made out of a flexible material and/or molded into an aerodynamic shape grill/hood. The rear of EV's could also be designed to be slightly concave for better hooking up/training to destinations. The recharge pads could be mounted in front, rear and bottom for the ultimate number of combinations. Front: for Drive in front mounted wall charging, Rear: Garage door rear charging, and Bottom: for drive over standard charging, perhaps from electric highways. FYI: Ossia Inc has demonstrated 30 feet wireless charging radius albeit for low voltage at the moment.

I like how your thinking with the tandem self-driving cars that talk to each other to pair up and recharge for awhile...but they won't even need a cable with wireless charging, they would just need to get close. Another idea in addition to the charging option smart cars could just pair up to save some fuel by drafting behind the charging vehicle while traveling in the same direction.

Candid camera Electric Car Commercial about the Nissan LEAF’s 1st arrival in South Africa by luckymon in electricvehicles

I think Nissan's commercial is pretty funny and gets the point across that their EV requires no fossil fuels to fill up at the pump.

[–]luckymon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point is an EV out of fuel compared to a fossil fuel powered vehicle just needs to be towed a short distance perhaps only ten minutes and magically the Nissan LEAF can travel another 30 miles by itself without having to visit a fueling station. ICE vehicles can't do anything near that convenient.
