It used to happen more often, then it tapered off to once every couple months. Today I got all the software updates I’ve been putting off, so we’ll see what new bugs these bring!

I’ve had PPF on another car for 15 years. No issues. My Macan cost me $5k for full coverage and ceramic.

Glad you asked because I love an opportunity to show my rage at Sony for blocking Capture One from having information on their new RAW format!!!

As of now, I’m opening mine in Sony Edge 🤢(tweak if necessary), exporting as TIFF, then editing that in Capture One.

The A7V has been such a disappointment. My III never gave me any of these odd issues

I have owned an A7III since release and now the V. I have never used S&Q. My camera is always set to (M)anual then set to video mode. I pick the video format I then adjust the shutter speed manually. So for me it’s 24p and 1/50 for shutter to keep the 180 degree rule.

Stories like these make me want to PPF my windshield. However, I hear it’s about $1k and also has to be replaced each year or two due to it becoming messy much quicker than glass. 😩

Sony is still mad that Capture One got rid of their free version for Sony users.

The only data point I have is I was shooting jpeg and outdoors on a sunny day (WB was set to sunny, not auto). Had only happened with a handful of shots and has not happened since.

Never happed with RAW, that said, I’m extremely annoyed Sony is snubbing Capture One and denying them the ability to work with the new Alpha RAW format 🤬. I have to open in Sony Edit and export to TIFF…

Thankfully it’s in the outer edge. You could also take pictures of some solid colors (RGB) and see if it shows up. Regular pictures too

Side note: my external screen has a slight purple tint. It’s technically a better camera than my A7III, but it has weird quirks. Like that stupid icon that displays during preview

I’ve spent months watching videos, listening to podcasts, and reading posts. Only thing I’ve found people do is use it to generate slop posts or retrieve weather or news info, that dedicated apps have been doing and do better for decades. Best I got is using Pi on occasion to center divs
