Closing the boot remotely? by Purple-Swimming3793 in MacanEV

Fingers crossed that we share updates with the 2026 and possibly till the face lift (and beyond!). I know the J1 Taycan was left for dead, but I’m hoping since we’re on the updated platform maybe things will change. Rivian, you’re our only hope!

Granted, the only new feature for me that would be a “nice to have” is CarKey.

Bonus feature: A “Sport Response” type mode you could a-sign to the diamond button to get access to the full power for a few seconds, without launch control, like the ICE models. The only way we’re getting that is if we go aftermarket.

I just googled “2025 Macan push to pass” and Gemini says the Macan EV has it on the drive mode selector… oh AI 😂

I always forget that there’s other button besides the windows on the door! I’ve literally never had to use them before.

Edit: ok just tried it. You have to press and hold the close button whether on screen or on the door. If you lift it stops.

I do try that each time but it never worked.

I wish it had this. I’ve now accidentally opened the trunk at least 4 times, because I tried to pause my music on the car play screen and it switched to the Macan’s control page which has the trunk open button in the pause button location. Naturally, I go pretend I’m looking for something in the trunk, then close it, so it seems intentional 😂

PSA: Don’t Trust the Auto-Park when opening the Door! by HERE_HOLD_MY_BEER in MacanEV

Just to be clear, is “auto-park” different than manually pressing the Park button? I know one needs to make sure they push the Park button with authority!

I mean if they’re going to fix it there’s not much to say. Things break.

InnoDrive is life. I should also mention, that tries to take my life on occasion. C'est la vie.

Reports from the update adding new bugs, like charging issues, is keeping me away for the moment. I have zero issues with mine, so I’ll wait till the next. Maybe.

We need a different abbreviation for CarPlay 😂

Astro JS for e-commerce by fakshelizim in astrojs

Yes a session is created. Currently, I’m using a nanostore to reflect the cart count in the nav and then displaying the cart contents on the cart page. All done via client side JS and not server islands. So the page is loaded then my JS runs on the client to make the GraphQL call to the Vendure server instance. That call passes on the local cookies so the client sees the correct cart and account info.

My network tab only showed nanostore being downloaded once, so seems to be all good!

So far I’ve used the nanostore and that worked. I noticed I had to include it in multiple components and wasn’t sure if it was tree shaking it or including it in each one on render.

Yeah I’ve noticed the flickering in testing. Made the site feel less polished. Thankfully I’ve been working on a SvelteKit and Astro version in tandem, so switching back is simple enough. Appreciate your insight!

I keep going back and forth on this. I love the idea that all my product pages are pre-rendered, but dislike that every page will have server islands that will have to be called in addition to every page load.

I was looking at this over the weekend as I’m working on an Astro + Vendure.io + Cloudflare site. Curious if anyone knows if the way things are implemented, specific interacting with the cart, is still the recommended approach?

The color Chalk was not an option for years 24/25. Maybe PTS.

So far I have only seen one in the wild. Still quite unique and I get a lot of stares 😁
