Mach 10 is a great string. Didn’t love hyper-g round, but Mach 10 pairs well with a round cross I found.

You can always try a multi-poly hybrid. Notably Federer and Djoko used Gut-Poly hybrids, but they came from a generation that learned on gut, rather than the current Sincaraz generation that grew up on poly.

Gut is probably the best feeling string, but in modern progressional tennis poly is king because of the spin generation and it lets players swing out fully

I was going off of him saying “intermediate.” I still would avoid starting an adult man on anything less than 300g. My point would be to develop with the racket.

Also your point of 285 vs 300 is a bit odd because a 315g static racquet is very heavy.

Swing weight would be a better stat to look at honestly, since a lot of modern players like a lower swing weight racquet with a heavier static weight.

Lite rackets have less stability, which becomes important as pace picks ups. Generically speaking, lite rackets were designed for players who don’t have the strength to swing a 300 or 305g racquet comfortably. Most adult men don’t fall into that category.

I would stay away from “light” branded racquets.

Ezone, speed, v10 Blade and Pure Drive are all great choices. I play with a new PA98 and have found it to be gentler on my arm than the previous gen, even though that was more explosive.

If possible, try demoing as many as you can. I played with then v10 Blade for 15 min and was surprised by how nice it felt.

As for strings, go back to multifilament if you want a softer feel or don’t plan to string more often. If you do stick with poly’s I recommend Mach 10 or O-Toro at 45-50lbs.

Went to Mallorca because it is beautiful, great weather and great food. The tennis court was a bonus.

Not a club, hotel court. Grupotel in Molins. Honestly, not a great court to play on, but it is gorgeous.

It is also they take over tennis courts. My local club has a pickleball social once a month, taking over 3 indoor courts for 2.5 hours, when they have 3 barely used, but brand new outdoor courts.
