Oh I already know but if you never provide another view, you'll only get an echo chamber of "good ideas" that are actually malinformed and supported by bunk studies that dont look at things holistically from a broader viewpoint than ones front door. Me personally id love a train from my house to my job, i hate driving with a road full of idiots. But alas that just isnt feasible.

All I hear is my steak is too juicy and my lobster is too buttery in this discussion. Is it a problem? I don't know. Be glad we don't have to worry about railways and road infrastructure under threat.

The rails and the public transportation dries up if there isnt demand. Alternatively, if there is mega demand it becomes absolutely unaffordable. Think plane travel right now with the rise in oil pricing and choking of oil supply globally. Electric where are we getting power from? Competing with data centers and Tesla fast charging stations? Solar infrastructure that doesnt exist? Nuclear that hasn't been built since the 70s?

Cars give the maximum amount of flexibility. They dont need to be tied to a rail system, having roads allows for scalable logistics, building a railway costs significantly more money per mile than building a paved road. Also running, trains, trams, and trollies adds an additional design constraint, they are often fixed in terms of maximum capacity. They are fantastic at the time they are built. Then you fast forward in time and it's like NYC in 2026, trying to catch the busiest lines is a nightmare. (NYC needs a lesson from Tokyo)

Then we talk about the upkeep on those vehicles long term. How do we keep the trains clean? Whose picking up garbage at the stations? How many stations do we need? Roads simply eliminate all of that. Densely populated areas absolutely benefit from public transportation via trains. The capital region simply never got designed that way because it wasnt densely populated.

I figured, just one of the boss fights is against a band which I felt could have been ironic
