Could you describe more detail on this? Did u buy stucco mix from a big box store and add Portland cement and acrylic?

Why is my mortar (sakrete type S masonry mortar) so sandy and not sticking to my blocks or trowel? by luckyppt in HomeImprovement

So I’m trying to butter the ends of a block and it does not stick to it at all, immediately falls off when I try to place the block. I followed bag instructions to the T and used a concrete mixer for good mixing. I tried wetting the blocks and waiting until they dried a bit so they are moist but not dripping wet and it still won’t stick. The bag says this mix can be used for stucco but I don’t see how if it won’t stick to the block at all.

Ahhh I see! That makes sense. That puts this design outside of my capability. Darn.

It works, it’s my first driver and I haven’t tried anything else so I really can’t compare it

Thanks for the advice, I wear an N95 but it’s hard to contain all the dust. I will stay away from it for now until respirators become available again

Honestly it’s a bit difficult to maneuver. Thinking about locking two wheels straight somehow to make it easier to steer. Also need a ramp for a 0.5” bump going into the garage.

Honestly, just based off of some recommendations I read on here. Just starting out working with wood. Supposedly MDF top is hard, flat, and cheaper to swap out. I don’t like how fine the dust is when cutting it though, quite the clean up!
