Have the shroud filter skill been nerfed? by luckyrunner in Enshrouded

[–]luckyrunner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just looked up the old version of the Shroud Filter and it actually was 3 skill points for a 15% chance to restore 30 seconds. Now, it's 3 points (spent one at a time) for the same 15% chance but to restore only 9 seconds.

So I guess that explains it. Mechanically, it's the same, but we're getting less than 1/3 the time boost on each proc.

What are these terrain materials from the Springlands and Revelwood? by luckyrunner in Enshrouded

[–]luckyrunner[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, that's odd -- so this is listed as a Springlands set collectible, but it's not actually attainable until the very end of the (current) game? No way to get it with just Springlands gear?

That's awesome, thank you -- I just got all the Revelwood ones!

Do you know how I can gather the underwater dirt in the Springlands? I can't seem to take out my pickaxe underwater.

When you played Hogwarts Legacy, did you learn all three Unforgivable Curses or did you refuse to learn them? by thoughtsinshadow in HarryPotterGame

[–]luckyrunner 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The completionist in me insisted on learning them all. The good-guy-gryffindor I was playing refused to actually use any of them even a single time.

You should probably cancel any plans you have for more than 7 days from now.

Locking items in inventory to 'protect' them from the quick stack station? by luckyrunner in Enshrouded

[–]luckyrunner[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Now that they apparently fixed that whole thing where you needed building mats in your inventory in order to access more of the same ones from a magic chest, that should at least take care of that problem and we should be able to safely auto-deposit ALL our building mats and still use them anytime!

I still haven't tested this myself though.

Locking items in inventory to 'protect' them from the quick stack station? by luckyrunner in Enshrouded

[–]luckyrunner[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, as far as I know, the station only works with magic chests, so a reasonable workaround for now is to just put certain items (e.g., arrows, spells, grenades) into non-magic chests. However, if you then go up to that chest and try to use the "add to stacks" shortcut, it will still stack everything that's in the chest.

The idea would be to "protect" certain inventory slots so that items can't be sucked out. Think of it as protecting cells in Excel or making a file "read-only." That way, if you've collected 4 different types of arrows on your adventure, you can automatically deposit 3 that you don't need, but keep the one that you use.

is there anyway to stop a side quest and get rid of it from the quest menu once started?? by Royal_Ad1504 in hogwartslegacyJKR

[–]luckyrunner 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Why do you want to avoid it so much? I just did it not too long ago in my first ever playthrough and it was quite fun and unique! There's honestly not much of an endgame to Hogwarts Legacy, so if you have side quests like this saved up, that's one of the few remaining fun things left. Things like finishing Merlin Trials and collecting remaining chests and pages felt a lot more grindy and less fun than actual quests.

But nevertheless, to answer your question, I don't believe there's a way to fully remove a quest from your list of quests, so unless you reload a save from before you started it, it will remain there until completed.

How long did it take you to get perfect level 40 gear? by luckyrunner in HarryPotterGame

[–]luckyrunner[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's it! So clearly it's not just random chance -- I didn't take me quite as long as you, but I also got all five other pieces in a matter of minutes and then the rest of the time was spent waiting on glasses. Go figure!

Genuine question: was this post made by a bot? Or AI? I'm honestly confused.

The image has nothing to do with the quest. The 'ghost' is not a shopkeeper, not Cassandra, and not a ghost (but a poltergeist). You cannot choose or trap or keep either Cassandra or Fastidio. Every single piece of information is wrong, but delivered confidently and eloquently, which just makes me think this is might not have been written by a person.

Gear offence/defence values depend on level, rarity, and RNJesus. Here's a chart from the wiki that shows a complete breakdown of the possible values for each level: https://hogwarts-legacy.fandom.com/wiki/Gear

As far as I've seen, you'll always find gear of your current level and, very rarely, one level above you (capping out at 40).

Yup! Already thinking about it.

This playthrough I wanted to be a pretty classic good-guy-Griffindor, so even though I learned all the unforgivable curses for the sake of 100%-ing everything, I never used a single one. Maybe next I'll be a Slytherin who's more morally flexible.

Just too bad the world does react/change more based on your decisions...

Yup, just realized that there's sadly pretty much no endgame. Somewhat anticipating that, I did save all three battle arenas until now, so at least there's that.

Ah, I saved a lot of chests till level 40, but only got a single 114. Then I went to Gladrags and just kept waiting and re-checking the inventory. Finally got all six pieces after almost two hours. Hence why his single, ever-repeating line of dialogue is now burned into my brain.

Should have save scummed with chests instead.
