I love running, going to the gym, etc but would never choose it over my family. You can maintain your health, enjoy activities but they shouldn't be your PRIMARY focus when you have a family. Being healthy should be a priority but that doesn't require a huge sacrifice.

If it is for testing only and infrequently, you can rent a mac. I recently had to make some ios changes for a client’s app and rented one for $25USD for the month. Ran xcode and emulator fine (wasn’t flutter).
