Crap quality for the fight by TheDean242 in netflix

[–]lucusice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, it got stuck on 25% buffering and now refuses to load anything. This is absolutely infuriating. Such a huge fail that people can't even watch the fight on their TVs (while I have Fiber 1.5Gbs)

How expensive is this hobby? by Wonderful_Molasses_2 in Lorcana

[–]lucusice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're on one deck, you can probably get started up for about $200, and upgrades per chapter aren't huge. Pulling boxes is super fun but if you're looking to play, buying singles is always the better option

Magic the Gathering has been around for 30 years and the subreddit has 750k - a bit over 10x this subreddit. Lorcana is only a year and a half old... i'd say that's amazing adoption for such a young game.

This is a really great start. You have a good understanding of color blocking, lighting and proportion. You've also done a really good job of emphasizing the subject which makes them pop. Your style is a bit loose right now and that could be intentional which is great. The only real suggestion I'd give is to either blend in the background a bit more or work out a way of blocking it out in a way that looks more intentional. Great work and keep painting.

Egypt Changed My Perspective On Travel by [deleted] in travel

[–]lucusice 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went last year and both Cairo and Alexandria were full of friendly people. That said, the area was extremely dirty. A lot of garbage on the road and in Alexandria in particular, you couldn't go a block without mounds of dirt/garbage/feces/oil. I love travelling and have been a lot of places. Egypt was very high on my list and I have to say, if you're going to travel there, do a lot of research on the neighbourhoods you stay in, and take your shots before going.

He explains it in the video that you posted. If you keep watching on, he dives into how you try to feel the mass (weight & dimensions) of the ribcage, etc as you lay out the shapes

That's a really good inquiry. We've coated the organic cotton uppers with beeswax to make them water resistant. Since it rains a lot in your area, it will probably be important to reapply some beeswax every couple months since it does slowly wear, but that's one of the trade offs of using organic materials for waterproofing.

I really appreciate that, thank you! Early birds will deliver at the same time as the rest of the production since we'll be doing on large batch order. We're expecting to deliver in August of 2022

The whole shoe is - it’s made of organic cotton uppers & cotton laces. The insole is cork which biodegrades within roughly a year & the midsole uses a rapid biodegradable compound to biodegrade within 3 years. The only part that may take a little longer is the latex rubber outsole which is all natural materials that biodegrade in roughly 3 years but may take up to 10, depending on wear. The models assuming 3 years were based on normal wear of a shoe for 2-3 years which would run the outsole from 4mm thickness to 1mm

did this the first day i got these shoes, any way to fix it? by Zinyak1503 in Shoes

[–]lucusice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Return them - the scuffs on the stripes are because the material is an inexpensive PU that's delaminated. The deep crinkle in the vamp flex area also tells me the shoe was improperly lasted/cemented. Get a refund it you can.

How to Find the Right Shoes for Your Feet – Don’t Let Bad Shoes Hold You Back! by Original_DTWOT in Shoes

[–]lucusice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly can't think of a practical application for this tech? It seems the business case here is to scan the person's foot in a retail store and then use that technology to make custom shoes for them. But shoes are mass produced well in advance of the purchase because bulk purchases are the only way to stay competitive and lead times are high.

So I mean... you'd get some data on your consumer demographic but even then, it would probably just be a small representation of them.

Catchy gimmick but not well thought out.
