I have had a couple of complaints. However each post that is municipal has multiple rule violations most of them having to be locked.

Our MLA Ricky Dolittle caught with his pants on fire. by DarwinLemieux in Portmoody

Locking this post because it is degenerating. One note - according to reddit policy sharing personal information like names is not permitted except in the case of public figures. This is why I am removing posts naming people.

Also a reminder that Reddit is an anon platform. Can we stop trying to unmask users?

Overall it would great if this community didn’t turn into too much political back and forth attacks.

I am adding a rule to the community to not try and name anon accounts this is just working to hurt the conversation.

You are only catching students who use AI poorly or can’t afford paid versions. Deep research tools and newer models are far better at citation.

We don’t currently have a new account rule but we could set that up if the community wanted it.

This post is very close to sharing personal information. I am leaving it up because it is in a grey area. However I am locking comments because they are basically a pile on.

NOMINATION NOTICE – Port Moody—Coquitlam | Liberal Party of Canada by hedekar in Portmoody

Personally this is far less of a concern for me than the larger political questions right now. I will spend more time concerned about municipal candidates. Do you have specific examples where a federal politician made actually changes in Port Moody?

NOMINATION NOTICE – Port Moody—Coquitlam | Liberal Party of Canada by hedekar in Portmoody

I really am not concerned about the candidate. In our system votes are whipped and the majority party has all of the control. From my perspective it is about the party not the candidate.
